Let's say that it was some other player who got that North Melbourne bloke in an arm lock...?

...And not Chris Judd... how many weeks would you reckon that guy could get? I mean, let's face it we all know that Judd's gonna get off easy, because, well he is Chris Judd. Oh and it should be noted, that the north melbourne guy already had strapping to his shoulder, and had to go off the field soon after this incident. So if this armlock was done by a player who is NOT a protected species in the game, how many games do you think he could get?

Update:

and if you missed it, here's the incident i'm referring to:

Interesting question given the tendency of sports (not just footy) to give "star treatment" to those that excel on-field and sell tickets (personally I can't see why rules are enforced differently depending on the caliber of the player but that's another conversation for another day).

Being an interesting question, it's a shame that in thinking about it the only answer I could come up with was "with today's tribunal, who really knows?"

Judd became an endangered species since that eye gouge on Rischitelli a few years ago in the elimination final against Brisbane - he isn't protected by the refs these days.

He'll get at least three weeks I reckon.

thinking the checklist they have and the place they have been final three hundred and sixty 5 days i think of anybody has staggering comprehend for north for making the suitable 8. it is likewise a credit to their boys for adapting to the recent play on in any respect expenditures recreation plan - I used to think of north melb have been a monotonous facet yet they're very very nearly my maximum interesting group to observe ATM as quickly as they get the ball on the a million/2 lower back flank on the counter attack they're deadly with their chain of handballs. they have an outstanding captain in Andrew swallow he's plenty like Matthew Boyd. a high quality earlier than the sport in Petrie and their group artwork and chemistry is super. As I suggested they have not got the super names yet thats why they're risky the gamers like Gibson and Harper do no longer gets a commission sufficient interest from the contest and then they turn into risky do no longer you concern north will rattle some communities in the finals - and how approximately boomer Harvey's present day form in the process the final month - verify his stas - striking!!

It was a chicken wing tackle that in Rugby League has become an instant 4 weeks. It is DESIGNED to hurt your opponent. There is NO other reason you would do such a thing. Sorry Shifty but I disagree totally with you - this is a nasty indiscretion. He went searching for the arm - he actually had three grabs at it before he finally got it and then there is no doubt at all what he was trying to do. Have a look - three grabs at it. He never went close to grabbing the ball - maybe this is how he extracts the ball these days?

Compare this to Josh Hunt treading on Betts' hand - it is 20 times as nasty and caused real injury to the player. He should get 4 weeks minimum for the sheer intent - increased if the medical report on Adams is bad.

Come on now.....that's barely reportable...that fact that the player had shoulder strapping on has nothing to do with it. In fact he could have actually twisted it more.

One game...or none. Judd or anyone....but in Judd's case, North will wait to pay him back and I reckon that will be more severe than any tribunal.

Judd is a dog footballer from that incident. That should get 2 weeks.

And if not Chris Judd then who?

Andrew McKay (ex Carlton player) is no longer on the AFL's MRP. so i'm a little bemused by the amount of energy/attention that most want to give to this indiscretion by Judd.

My reason for saying so is because i have seen star players put out for far less. but if he does get suspended. will this decision of the AFL's MRP please all of you? me personally,as a Carlton supporter don't give a toss.

Games are not won because of MRP decisions. & nor should they.

    cheers.

Wouldn't be able to give you a fair accurate answer about what the MRP would do they continue to amaze this section

I can safely say however if Ballantyne or Milne or Scott D Thompson had

pulled that stunt the fans would absolutely give them hell

Well lets say the player was Wellingham, he'd probably get a week if that...

about a week its a petty incident, but there does need to be some form of punishment to discourage other people doing similar things.
