how many or what are the different types of batman characters?
I'm not talking about the bad guys in the badman e.g. joker, scarecrow, no. i want to know the names of the other bat related good guys like, batman(of course), robin, batgirl(if such exists), nightwing. how many more are there and who are they?

there's loads.
Batwing is the new African version , who's been trained and equiped by Bruce Wayne.
The Current Robin is Bruces son Damion
Jason Todd who was Robin and killed by the Joker has been reincarnated and is now the Red Hood,
Timothy Drake who was Robin after Jason is now Red Robin and leader of the Teen Titans
Dick Grayson who was Robin is now Nightwing, but did spend a brief time as Batman while bruce was away recruiting batmen in other countries (on Batwing is left I believe)
Barbra Gordon is back as Batgirl after being crippled by the joker, another girl was batgirl for a bit with Barbra as the oracle and keeping an eye on everything.
There's also BatWoman who works for the FBI as she didn't want to work for Bruce.
DC have also just bought out a comic called Batman incorporated which has loads of other people in it like BatWing, only read one of these so far so can't give any more details about it.
