what do these symptoms mean?
Back story :: I lost a tampon inside for a little over a week, and when it started smelling (gross) I figured it out, and did a little digging :).
Now, on to my symptoms. roughly 3 days before I realized i had a lodged foreign object, i developed a seriously awful headache, localized on the top of my head, from forehead to crown, and neither Pepsi or Excedrin helped. My toes and fingers fall asleep numerous times a day, so much that I trail my hand on the wall for balance.
I have been running a fever since yesterday and reading is very difficult. i have big bruises throughout my body. I had a seizure last night, and despite being epileptic, I finally found the right med so they're very controlled. i have been confused and speaking nonsense at random times (unrelated to everything else around me).
i got my ears gauged on friday and they're still randomly bleeding. i have no appetite, and off and on i have been dizzy and nauseated.
i am thinking tss, but i dont want to go the er, especially if i am wrong. i have no insurance and young kids that need me home.
sorry about the book above :)

You are seriously ill. You probably do have TSS. You are the first person I have ever heard of on Y!A who actually might have it. Normally, little sniveling teens guilty of magical thinking, and ashamed of using tampons (but not ashamed of blowing a classmate) come on here saying that they left a tampon in for 1 minute longer than recommended, and they think they have TSS. Well, you did a very foolish thing and you probably DO have TSS. I don't know how a grown woman could do what you did.
Do you know what TSS is? You are septic. That means that you have a full body infection. The infection is coursing around in your blood. It is able to get to all of your organs. You need to see a doctor right away. Call you regular doc. Call your gyn. Go to the ER if you have to, but get medical help.

I'm thinking toxic shock syndrome, but a tampon in you body for a week!? Seriously, see a doctor to prevent infections, but you probably already have one. I would go to the hospital immedietly.
