Should i sign the birth cirtificate?

No don't sign the birth certificate as you're not the biological father.

Since you are not married (in the US that would mean legally you are the dad) you can not sign the birth certificate, it would be fraud. Only the biological father can. You can however adopt the baby if the biological father gives up his parental rights. Then you can go to court and change the name on the birth certificate of you want.

Signing the birth certificate would constitute fraud since you are not the biological father. Don't do it. It will only cause a load of trouble. If you want to adopt the child legally, marry your girlfriend and follow the law so that you can adopt legally.

If you are seriously committed to your girlfriend, and to taking responsibility and raising this baby girl for the rest of your life, then I would say yes. As long as, the biological father isnt in the picture...which im assuming he is not.

If you sign the birth certificate though, and you guys split, you will be financial responsible for that baby girl until she is 18.

Make sure you are really committed before you do something like that. .

yes you can sign and rais her if you do not end up staying with your Girl friend and shes gos after child support you can tell them you want a DNA to prove you are not the father and you will not pay child support but the way it sounds is that you love her and will love and take care of the baby i say if you committed sign and raise her
