Why do we get deja vu?

Ill be doing something, like talking with a friend and I'll have this wave of nostalgia. Like i recognise what shes wearing, and i know what shes gonna say next.

And its impossible for me to have lived out this exact scene in the past. So why do i feel like im doing it again?

Update:

Raymond, thats nice, but ive only ever asked this question once since im relatively new here. Mind giving me an answer?

Update 2:

Lol. I was like 5 when the matrix came out. I was too young to understand it then, and ive never really watched it now. All i know is that he picked the red pill and the spoon bends :D

    Our mind is quite fascinating.

'Deja Vu' really never happens to everyone, your mind just produces a false image of you thinking that you've had this before, been in this moment before or said something before.

Things from your past or memories could collide together to create a whole new 'false' memory, which makes you think it happened before, when in reality it never didn't. You probably recognise the clothing from another person, your mind plays tricks on you.

If we are really close to someone, then we tend to get inside their head. We have a very good idea what they are like as a person and how they see the world. Therefore we know that if we ask them something then they will react in a certain way which is why you feel as if you're doing it all over again.

We all have déjà vus in fact mines something really long. But it's something the brains does. For instance this friend you have this is probably not the first time youve talked so your brain sort of saves that and make it seems as if you have already seen it (déjà vu)

Source(s): Sorry if this is too complicated for you but in other words you brain get so used to something that you expect it to happen. Therefore Deja. Vu

Deja-vu can be a symptom of Epilepsy, perhaps as an aura. (The feeling you have seen something or done something before). I presume you have mentioned it to your doctor? Probably doesnt matter if you dont get seizures,or anything?

well you may be looking your answer in term of scientific reasons. But i suggest you to read islamic Sufism as it has great detail about it. specially the books of Imam Gazali R.A (Great Islamic philosopher)

Deja Vu happened alot to me when i started meditating on daily basis. and as i know, it mostly happens to those sensitive peoples who analyze and thinks alot.

If you know URDU language, i can send you few scanned books on spiritualityy and sufism. in case you want ,just send me message through my profile page.

Because god had a little hiccup and you have either had a dream or out of body experience which you have already witnissed this part of your life, however, even though you know this you will always say and do what you saw in your experience.
