Dodge Tomahawk actual top speed?

Last I heard they didn't have it handling well enough to test it at all, it was only 50 mph. How can they make top speed claims if the machine doesn't actually function? What is the fastest OFFICIAL speed?

The Tomahawk has never even exceeded 30 mph. No "official" speed measurement has been made. As no one is willing to ride it fast, and the prototype is too valuable to crash, there have never been any thoughts of trying to go fast. Also, it is un-insurable and un-licensable for public roads. In effect, the Tomahawk was not really a motor vehicle: It was a publicity stunt, and a highly effective one. Even if the Tomahawk had the stability to run as fast as its motor would allow, no rider would be able to stay on the bike, due to the strong wind-blast and the lack of aerodynamic bodywork.

The Tomahawk is not even a real motorcycle. It has 4 tires! It's "top speed" is theoretical. It doesn't even make enough horsepower to go as fast as they claim due to several real factors including aerodynamics...it can't overcome the drag at 300+ mph with it's horsepower.

It's a "concept vehicle" made to do what it did/does attract attention for Chrysler.

As far as I know there is no official speed.

The darn thing was an engineering exercise, not an attempt to build a real vehicle.

I can't make myself call it a motorcycle - four contact points makes it clearly not a motorcycle by definition.

Source(s): I read about it in the engineering rags long before you guys even heard about it. Paid little attention since.

According to Wikipedia, basically, people are too chicken **** to attempt a top speed run on the Tomahawk... here, read this:

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/ax517

The first thing that needs to be done is to find a psychotic nutbag thats completely fearless or has a throbbing deathwish to "pilot" the motorcycle to top end, should be quite the show. After you find a rider, the rest should be easy, jump on the bike, screw the throttle back as far as it will go and hang like your life depended on it,because it does.
