Mass Effect 3 endings?
I want to play Mass Effect 3 the way the developers envisioned it not based on community response. Essentially, is it still possible to play the "director's cut" version of ME3 not the "butthurt fan edition?"

Play Mass effect like a normal, mature human being.
Then go to youtube and watch the "director's" cut ending.

Oh ffs. Why do people keep acting like the EC takes something *away* from the ME3 endings? They're the exact same endings with the exact same consequences. Just with more background, a halfway decent explanation for *why* these are the endings, and an epilogue tagged on.
The Director's Cut, as you put it, sucked. It wasn't the way "the developers" envisioned it, it was the way the project's two leads envisioned it. They wrote the ending entirely by themselves and bypassed the peer review process on the way to graphics design, in case you didn't know. Another hint: these two guys are *not* Bioware's star writers. That's why there was such a huge backlash. And that's why Bioware did the smart thing and fixed it.
But if you want to play the original and stare confusedly at the screen wondering what the hell just happened before getting a fade to black, an appeal to buy DLC, and then the end credits, by all means go ahead. You just need to install the game. The EC is DLC you can get from Bioware's website. As long as you don't install it the content won't be there.

There is no two different Extended Cuts, there is just one extended cut to the ME3 ending. The DLC Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut that is available till April 2013.

The Enhanced Cut is overall a better version of the game - however if you don't want to play with the Extended Cut, I'm pretty sure you don't need to since the Extended Cut is a separate download or add-on.
