Cartilage piercing, turn into Cartilage shattering?
I want to get my cartilage pierced and I and I am scared that if I use a gun it wil shatter. What if I do it lower, not very much further up then my lobe piercing, will that still happen if I use the gun?

Don't do it on yourself. I know you have the gun and all, but there is a reason for professionals to do it.
Many years ago I wanted yet another piercing put in my ear and the woman turned me down. She didn't really explain, so I went to another salon and asked for a piercing. This woman turned me down as well, but she explained to me that if she pierced where I wanted on my ear, it would hit a (I don't remember the word - a tendon? a nerve? ) well, something that carries sound to my eardrum and there's a chance I would be deaf in that ear if they pierced the cartilage at that point.
Leave it to the professionals. I don't know where you are getting pierced, but they study the body (or are supposed to) and know where NOT to pierce.
