I stopped giving them donations or assistance of any kind when they caved in to anti-firearms rights sentiment in my old home area and stopped giving gun safety courses. Now that they've compounded their stupidity by refusing to join the 21st century and participate in the eradication of anti-gay bias, I am even less likely to donate anything to them.

Not to mention that they have served as a training ground for militarist and nationalist attitudes that I deplore.

Glad to hear you agree with their decision. I do too. I know they are taking a lot of heat for it. I still wonder if they will back off eventually. Meeting to discuss the issue is a show there is a crack in the organization.

I praise Girl Scouts for being open-minded and allowing others to join in compassion. They are helpful, honest and they don't discriminate against others while being progressive in education.
