Does anyone else see where are i am coming from?

My and fiancé were planning a family and have been to family planning to sort out the way we would go about this.

We have finally sorted our finances and I have been cleared by the doctor that it is safe to start trying for a baby. We were to begin in August hoping to get pregnant in September.

On Saturday my fiancés (42) mum tells us that she is 3 months pregnant, so instead of getting our own baby me and my fella get a new brother or sister instead. She has told us to go ahead and try and get pregnant but it freaks me out thinking that at 24 i am going to be pregnant at the same time as my 42 year old mother in law, this is supposed to be our time. She knew we were going to be trying soon and then stated that she understands why we are annoyed but there is nothing we can do about it because she is happy.

Would anybody else be a little freaked out and really annoyed at this?

    It might be a pain but no matter what happens here, her baby will be the aunt or uncle of your child. That is the first thing. Secondly, if you are going to get married, then do that first and then get pregnant. And finally, who cares. She can go ahead and be pregnant. You don't have to support it. If you are having a baby for bragging rights though, you are having a child for the wrong reasons.

    It would freak me out at first. But then I would accept it. At the end of the day, Despite what people think she is'nt too old. And she's happy, that should be a priority of you and your fiances. If you both want a baby so much , It wouldnt faze you enough to not have one.

    She is being selfish & wants all the attention, thats not right of her to steal the spotlight. I agree its f*cking weird. Get pregnant right after she does so all the attention will be on your baby instead of hers lol jk
