Should Chief Justice Roberts be impeached?
Chief Justice screwed all Americans. People arguing to the contrary are morons.
The dissenters were so livid with Roberts switching late in the process that they didn't even sign on to his Commerce limitations meaning it really won't impact future decisions.
What Roberts did violates his oath to uphold the Constitution. The courts liberals consistently ignore the Constitution or crap all over it, but in their reasoning, which I would have disagreed with big time (as would Madison, Jefferson, Washington, Hamilton, and the rest of our Founders), would have been Congress can enact such a law under the Commerce Clause (this is NOT what the clause was meant for, but its been bastardized since FDR bullied the SCOTUS in the 1930's).
But if the liberals on the court won, and went with Commerce Reasoning, then while that's a load of crap, its nothing different than the last 80 years where apparently the government isn't of enumerated powers, but rather unlimited powers because of the Commerce Clause. Pretty sure that's not what the Founders intended. However, the liberals at least would have been in line with the last 80 years...
Roberts decided to REWRITE the freaking law himself. That's not a judicial power. That is INDEED Judicial Activism at its worst. That undeniably violates his oath to the Constitution.
Roberts should go down as one of the worst CJ ever, and should frankly be impeached for what he did.

No.
An activist judge is defined as someone who makes a decision you don't agree with.
Oh, and a little Government 101 lesson: A Supreme Court Justice may be impeached by the House of Representatives and removed from office if convicted in a Senate trial, but only for the same types of offenses that would trigger impeachment proceedings for any other government official under Articles I and II of the Constitution.

I don't think that the Founding Fathers anticipated that the executive and legislative branches would conspire to appoint Justices who would interpret the Constitution in a way that would nullify its limitations on their power and reach. Under the circumstances, Congress is hardly likely to oust a Justice who says it can do whatever it pleases. A more likely solution would be the States forcing a constitutional amendment clarifying the Commerce clause. I don't know that any other selection process for Justices would necessarily be an improvement considering the bozos we elect to high office now.

roberts held that the obamacare law was unconstitutional utilizing the commerce clause--which was an important if unnoticed victory for strict constructionists. He found that it was constitutional under the enumaterated power of congress to tax. I think in this he was correct. He correctly noted it wasn't his job to fix the mistakes of the voters but simply to rule on whether it was constitutional or not. We can undo this mistake by voting out president downgrade and cronies this fall.
No he shouldn't be impeached for doing his job correctly.

In order for a federal official to be impeached they must've committed a high crime, if anything expanding upon judicial review is not a violation of any law. Supreme court justices serve life terms exactly for events like this, they have full mobility and respond to no one so they cannot be pressured to do what they would not believe is right.

No, however I feel that every one people who benefit from the taxes from Obamacare must be Dozens of recent taxes, and no longer A SINGLE ONE mandated on the place the tax cash will GO? This is the commencing of the end for america, unless we change (For the better, not just lie like Obama) now not Obama exchange not Romney alternate not Republican or Democrat but American, return to freedom, earlier than the socialism, before the progressives, again when we would DO what we desired except infringing on others rights

What is the matter with you people who think that a person should be impeached just because you happen to disagree with them politically? If everyone was impeached for this reason there would be no one left to practice politicis. Ridiculous.
If you don't like our form of government, which you apparently don't, then move to another country. However I can guarantee that you won't like anyone else's government anymore than you like ours.

Disagreeing with psuedo cnstitutional law experts like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and YOU is not grounds for impeachment.
Try actually reading the document you claim to love so much.

No. He made a decision according to interpretation and legal precedence. Read the ruling on Flemming v Nestor to understand that Congress has the right to taxation. Even if they decide to call it something else.
