Why am I not gaining any weight?

I work out upper body on one day and legs the next. I know I am doing the workouts right cause I keep getting stronger but not gaining any weight. And I run about 2 miles a day

My post workout protein shake is over 1000 calories. I eat loads of chicken, eggs, protein bars, lots of bread, lots of Greek yogurt and I even have a protein shake before I go to bed and I can't gain any weight!

I'm male 16 135 pounds and 5'7

What am I doing wrong

Sounds like genetics. Or maybe you're getting rid of fat and gaining muscle at the same time so your weight says it's the same on the scale when in actuality you have lost fat and put on muscle.

The best indicator of whether you are putting on muscle is how you look. If you look like you're gaining muscle then great. If not then you might be one of those people who just can't get big no matter what they do because of their genetics. Don't believe me? Just look at the lightest weight class of bodybuilders, those guys are SHREDDED but their muscles aren't very big, they are just super defined. Some people just have the wrong genes and aren't able to get big muscles no matter how much they may workout.
