Both sides extreme. Fiscally like the right and socially like the left.

@ Peace Through Blinding Force - They are socailly liberal, they are for personal freedoms such as legalization of drugs, abortion being a personal choice, the repeal of all crimes without victims, etc. See the link...

They don't, which is why Libertarian argue for more of a Cartesian grid as a political spectrum with social/defense issues on one axis and economic/fiscal issues on another. The Dems are high on the social freedom, but low on the economic freedom, and Republican vice versa. Thus they end up in opposite corners. The lIbertarians are high on both axes, and thus are somewhere between, but to the side of the main two.

However, I dislike even this technique for categorizing issues because all these methods fail to take in account conflicting views. Many people have extreme views from both sides. For example, someone might have a radically anti death penalty stand, and yet be extremely isolationist on immigration.

Libertarian isn't on the right-left spectrum. You need the 4 point spectrum.

Libertarians are at the upper left. Which is for social liberalism, and economic liberalism. Not quite at anarchy but with a small limited government that exhausts it's powers after protecting our freedoms and our borders.

I even have taken the quiz quite a few circumstances over the years... I even have continually ended up interior a similar libertarian sq. in basic terms distinctive factors of it.. and that's what i'm..I even have been a libertarian for approximately 5 years.. considering the fact that I found out related to the social gathering.. I do evaluate myself a "Conservative Libertarian" tho.. as i'm against abortion and strong on nationwide protection.. I dont think of any American fits completely of their political social gathering.. Thats the full factor approximately individualism...

Not on the "spectrum" at all.

Most libertarians are way out in the ozone layer, their heads lost in the clouds, and they profess their faith in a perfect "free market" capitalism that never existed, and never will exist.

I love libertarian positions on basic civil liberties for individuals, though.

It's only when it comes to thinking about economic reality that libertarians are living in Never-Never Land.

Libertarians are a few notches to the left of the far right (pure anarchy).

Libritarian is generally considered to be on the far right of the political spectrum.

    Right.

It's not a bull-crap spectrum. Left is authoritarian, right is libertarian.

It's a lie that one can be "socially left" and "fiscally right" or vice versa. They cannot be separated.

Lower right. There are left libertarians on the lower left but they're Chomsky fags so who cares about them.
