Conservatives: Why Shouldn't We Reclaim Political Discourse?
I constantly shudder at liberals online (on sites such as this one) throwing around terms like "republikkkans" and "repugs" but I would expect that from them. What I can't stand is my fellow conservatives using terms like "libtard", "libturd", "dumbocrat", et cetera. This type of diction serves only to satisfy one's own understandable frustration with American liberals while ceding the intellectual high ground. If you are an individual who engages in this level of discourse, answer me why you find it necessary. And why, when there are so many egregious examples of liberal hypocrisy and cynicism that we could continue to point out in informed discussion, do my fellow conservatives instead revert to name-calling?

This site is not to be taken all that serious, so lighten up and enjoy.
When useful idiots pose asinine "questions" I answer accordingly.
When useful idiots, out of ignorance, pose "questions" which just parrot
what they hear from the anointed I try to be a little more serious.
PS; "Useful idiots", a term first coined by either Lenin or Stalin,
but regardless, an acute observation of blind/blissful ignorance.

Yep, I refrain as much as I can from calling them libtards and my other choice epithets. What fails to get across is that I am communicating from a rational and informed point of view, while many, not all, are simply making outrageous accusations and at best using propaganda handed down from their masters.

Usually the conservatives I see are responding to the actions of liberals. it hurts to see discourse reduced to that level.
