I know Nintendo has a new Mario game coming out sometime soon and that the success or failure of a flagship title can affect the fate of a large multinational company, but on this radio show about global economics and finance they're talking like the entire international economic order depends on Super Mario. They say that what happens with Super Mario will determine the course of world finance. Why the heck would they say that?

I recently found out that my boyfriend of 5 years was addicted to internet porn. I had no idea and I'm really upset that he would lie to my face for our whole relationship! He admitted it all to me yesterday because he decided to stop altogether about two months ago and I've noticed a change. He started working out and our sex life got a lot better, (he used to not be able to get it up/finish reliably) but also now all my friends flirt with him and girls at the cash register in stores and restaurants try to talk to him and it really pisses me off! Also he wants to have sex all the time, like, ALL the time. I work 70 hours a week and he only works about 30 so there's a lot of time when he's home alone and I guess he used to watch porn during this time but now I worry that he might find another girl because I'm always too tired from work to do it with him, and I don't know which is worse. So, should I encourage him to go back to watching porn and get things back to how they were before?

Four damn times now I've gotten into a girl only for her to come out of the closet as a lesbian. Four times! They were Kelly, Chris, Jessie, and Sam. Oh my god... you can tell by their names! I woke up today to find a small puddle of what was clearly semen on the linoleum floor near my work desk! I constantly shudder at liberals online (on sites such as this one) throwing around terms like "republikkkans" and "repugs" but I would expect that from them. What I can't stand is my fellow conservatives using terms like "libtard", "libturd", "dumbocrat", et cetera. This type of diction serves only to satisfy one's own understandable frustration with American liberals while ceding the intellectual high ground. If you are an individual who engages in this level of discourse, answer me why you find it necessary. And why, when there are so many egregious examples of liberal hypocrisy and cynicism that we could continue to point out in informed discussion, do my fellow conservatives instead revert to name-calling?

This question is for fans of the YouTube Starcraft caster Husky and/or his friend Dodger. Husky has several videos where he seems to un-ironically be in bed with other guys. And it would appear from some of Dodger's comments that she and Husky live together at least part of the time. So is Husky gay? And if he's not gay, are he and Dodger in a relationship?

I'm a cashier at a Publix grocery store in Atlanta. Every day lots of obviously poor people come through to buy food with EBT (food stamps). But also a lot of people who have nice clothes and cool tattoos and other costly stuff and don't appear to be homeless or desperate get their food with EBT.

I don't make a lot of money and I have a lot of debt but I am loyal to my employer and my country. So far I have not applied for EBT myself because I don't want to be a drain on the public debt and on the US in general, but it makes me upset to see that other people don't seem to feel this way. I believe that there is a culture of acceptance of getting on public assistance with no regard for the cost to everyone else.

So my question is: should I apply for EBT too? It would really increase the quality of my life if I could get some subsidy for my own groceries. Does the budget for EBT depend on how many people are signed up, or is it fixed? If it's fixed, then I wouldn't feel so bad because if I don't get enrolled, somebody I would be annoyed with probably will. If I get on EBT, does that make me a bad citizen? Be honest, I won't take it personally.

What was the movie about a really short kid with a funny voice who spent a lot of the movie trying to get over being so small but at the end he saves a school bus full of little children from drowning after the driver swerves to miss a deer? And I think he dies at the end.

You don't have to read that whole article above; it's basically saying that rich Chinese women are paying thousands of dollars to come to special "birth centers" in New York to give birth to US citizen babies (thanks to the 14th amendment) and go on shopping sprees at American malls.

Personally I think there's nothing wrong with this. With the exception of the poor and uneducated, American women aren't having children as much anymore. If we don't want to hit a demographic slide, we need immigrants who are: 1. educated, so they can contribute to the economy, 2. already financially independent (so they won't be asking for welfare checks), and 3. admiring of US culture so they and their children can be assimilated. This is a lot better than masses of refugees with no desire to assimilate and respect American rule of law, no money to spend in our economy, and no potential to generate economic activity (like the ones coming from you-know-where). Disagree that these "birth centers" are a good thing?... convince me otherwise.

Why does poll after poll show that both liberals and conservatives are pessimistic about the USA? This country is strong and will remain strong for generations to come. Here's my evidence:

-People continue to want to immigrate here for strong rule of law and chances for greater economic freedom and personal prosperity.

-The USA has a vigorous and responsive democratic system and a government that is highly sensitive to the will of the people.

-The North American continent is blessed with vast arable land, a stable climate, and abundant mineral resources.

-American people are tolerant of various religious and cultural views and value cultural diversity because we are not burdened with a thousand-year-old culture ourselves.

-American language and technology are the basis of the world's communication systems.

-American football is a more exciting and dynamic sport than the rest of the world's football.

The USA is great and I don't see any factor changing that any time soon. STARS AND STRIPES BEOTCH

I was out walking with my family yesterday when we found a litter of wolf cubs by the side of the road! The mother was dead nearby. It looked like she'd been gored by a stag (actually not unheard of here in the North). My kids each want to adopt one of the cubs. There's a Shaggy one, a Grey one, a very Ladylike female, a male with a really Summery personality, a rambunctious female, and a white one (I think it's an albino cub) that my adopted son Jon wants to keep. Should we do this or is it a bad idea?

So my girlfriend and I were together for three and a half years of a relationship that experienced maddening swings from stormy fighty hatey to loving and perfect. About a month ago, we finally decided we had to call it quits, essentially because she's Muslim and a doctor and I'm an unemployed hippie video game nerd. This was a very agreeable separation, but we still live together because 1) I have no job and no place to go, and 2) she can't drive (her eyesight is very poor so she can't get a driver's license) and her long hours mean she has no time to cook dinner so she needs me to cook her meals and drive her to the hospital each day.

Well we agreed we weren't together anymore because our relationship was stormy and deeply flawed, but we somehow keep having sex. The whole idea was that we would branch out and make new friends and lovers aside from each other and become emotionally independent but if we can't keep from doing it every time we sit together to watch football that's not gonna happen. Is this wrong morally? Is this a bad life decision? Is she taking advantage of me, or am I taking advantage of her? Or is it all good? I can't be sure. And how will I ever find a new girlfriend?

I think this girl is cute, though she's kinda weird. So we were talking and telling jokes and stuff the other day and she said she wanted to tell me her favorite joke.

Then she just started talking about the nastiest stuff I've ever heard for, like, five minutes. Eating your own crap and having sex with your children and jerking off while suffocating yourself to death and drinking snot and stuff like that. And then at the end she said something like "the associates!" or "the astutes!" or something like that, like it was a punchline. Then she took off.

Is she just trying to turn me off so I'll leave her alone or is this, like, a meme or something? What's she getting at? Does this mean she doesn't like me?

Is there anything I should know before using sites like mp3 Caprice and mp3 Obsession? Do they scam you? Will I get a visit from the federales? Does it work?

My rabbit (less than a year old) ate a whole apple core when I wasn't looking. I read that apple seeds are bad for rabbits because they contain trace amounts of cyanide. Is he going to get sick? Will he die? My girlfriend will kill me if he dies. What can I do?

I'm not trolling, I really want to know what you think because I'm not sure.

Anyone who reads This site or the comments pages on something like CNN knows there are far more conservative posts than liberal ones. Polling would indicate that republicans and democrats are about equal in the population though. So why is this?

Are conservatives more tech-savvy in general?

Are Internet comment boards considered a conservative medium, as talk radio is?

Is it just a current phenomenon because a democrat is president?

Are conservatives just more politically engaged than liberals?

Does the structure of Internet comment boards lend itself more to the aggressive rhetorical style of conservatives than liberals?
