Should I let my kids adopt the baby wolf cubs they found?
I was out walking with my family yesterday when we found a litter of wolf cubs by the side of the road! The mother was dead nearby. It looked like she'd been gored by a stag (actually not unheard of here in the North). My kids each want to adopt one of the cubs. There's a Shaggy one, a Grey one, a very Ladylike female, a male with a really Summery personality, a rambunctious female, and a white one (I think it's an albino cub) that my adopted son Jon wants to keep. Should we do this or is it a bad idea?

I wouldn't! Because one of your daughters will be married off to an evil king that kills you!
Your son will be pushed out of a tower and almost killed..and one of the pups will be killed off by an evil queen!
just walk away!!!!
dang it..Rayven did it better..lol

Because they are wild and their ancestors weren't in captivity, Then it's a really bad Idea to keep Wolf Puppies Mostly because Some people Buy Wolf-Hybrids and end up either giving them away (because their wild they hate being in captivity they get really mad and rip things apart..The seat's you're beds even the garden they'll rip the plants out of their roots) or they end up Being put-down Cause they might Bite someone & I think the worst thing would be if it happened to your children, Because of The safety aspect I'd give them Into the Shelter..Or somewhere where they'll look after them..
BUT;
I guess it could be good if you raise them, just as the mother would except the milk with the bottle and when you think their old enough set them all free!x(:
Good Luck, Do what's best!x(:

It's illegal in most places to keep wolves as pets (even half wolves sometimes) Even if you did keep them it is likely that they would be taken away at some point if someone found out. It's not a good idea if you have young children as well since, as wild animals, they will be more likely to bite hard if mishandled, which kids have a habit of unintentionally doing.
I used to work with animal control re-homing pets and we would get calls about wolves quite often. The best thing would be to call up an animal sanctuary or someone who works with displaced wolves specifically. Don't turn them over to the state, they can't be trusted with taking care of wild animals. But trying to keep them as pets would be very inadvisable.
Good job on rescuing them though! At least now they have a chance.

Not a good idea, i suggest notifying officials like maybe an animal shelter of some sort, an asking them if it would be okay for you children to keep up with the cubs indirectly through out their lives...so in a way i guess it would be like adopting the cubs, the cubs will just be living in a sutible enviroment for both your family and their own saftey.

It's a terrible idea! Wolves are exotic and wild animals, that have a high prey drive. As adults, they are big, and carbivorous, they are capable to tear your kids to pieces, even if you have socialized them from young age!
It is often illegal, if not, you will need lots of documents to keep one. They will need a large, enclosure, at least 10ft by 10ft by 8ft room, with a large run, and they need special care and food. It is just too hard, and i find it cruel, such gorgoues animals should be able to run around in the wild.
Instead, do the right think for the animals and call a wildlife sancturay, and ask them to take in the wolves.
The kids might get upset but teach them, that wild animals cannot be kept as pets and should remain in the wild, don't fall for their faces, teahc them that these animals shouldn't live with us and that they wouldn't be happy.
Get them a shelter puppy to keep them happy maybe?

no. they are wild animals and dont have the domestic traits your standard dog would have. I think you should send it to a grey wolf rescue to ensure that's it is Health and happy. Think about this.... What happens when you need to take it to the vet? You can not bring it to a domestic vet. You would have to send it to a Exotic/ or wildlife vet. meaning more money. How are you going to feed it.? I'm pretty sure they need special diet that cant be just sufficed by Purina. What happens in the future when its more natural instincts kick in, like howling, or digging/tearing up/ nesting.... Wolf pups are cute now but plan for the future. Just because its related to the dog doesn't mean it makes for a suitable companion. Think about human and chimps. sure they are closely related to humans. but they are WILD animals. They dont make good companion! I hope you seriously send it to a rescue or an sanctuary. I'd hate for the wolves to have to suffer for a neglectful, ignorant or naive owner....

No...trolls should not have wolf cubs. According to your profile you live in the south not the north. Other questions state you have girlfriend who is a muslim doctor that doesn't see well. Not to mention the perverted girl you want to date.

It's a really bad idea. I don't know if this post is a joke or what, but they're wild, you can't train them like you can train dogs and they don't bond the same way. You should call Fish and Game or whatever the service is for you, and make sure they're taken care of. They may not even be weened yet.

1. They are WILD ANIMALS not domesticated dogs!
2. Depending on where you live it maybe illegal to own a full blooded wolves
3. Saying that you need to call Fish and Wild life and hand them over.
It is a VERY bad idea to keep wild wolves, no matter how much you think if you raise them from puppy hood they will act like normal dogs WRONG! Hand them over to the proper people.

Apparently none of you have seen Game of Thrones or read A Song of Fire and Ice

You sire get an an A for effort for your trolling. Too bad for you some of us actually do watch cable and read sci-fi/fantasy novels.
Its a horrible idea here's what will happen
You'll have to kill Lady when your youngest daughter's wolf bites the hand of your oldest daughter's boyfriend. Why? because your tomboy daughter will run her pet off rather than see her dead and to smooth things over with the boy's father who is your boss you'll put lady down.
Grey wind will be killed along with your oldest son and his head sewn onto Rob's body.
Ghost will look out for your bastard Jon
shaggy dog will go insane along with your youngest son because both you and your wife and all his older siblings are away from him
Summer will guard your third youngest son

Awww! If I was in your position, I would be sok tempted to adopt one :3 although, the wolf cubs won't be very aggressive towards the owners (saw it on a BBC documentary) it will be aggressive towards other animals and people. They can also turn on you easily.
Adopting one probably isn't best fo the welfare and safety of yourself, your children and other people. Maybe hand them in to the RSPCA. they will house them then release them into the wild when nessecary.
Hope this helped :)
