Why do they call Mohammad a prophet?
What are some of his prophesies that came true? Also is it true that he could not read or write and had many wives including little girls under the age of 13.?

For me, Mohammad came from the devil. The devil is all about hypocrisy and lies. That is what Mohammad fed the ignorant desert dwellers of his time. Mohammad's actions of sex and violence is testimony of his being from the devil.

Prophet Muhamamd was a Messenger of God. God conveyed Quran through him. At least two prophecies came true within the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad.
1. At the time when Romans (Byzantines) were defeated by Persians, Quran predicted that within 9 years, Romans would be victorious. And they were.
2. Quran predicted that Abu Jahal, an arch enemy of earliest Muslims, would NEVER convert to Islam. Now all that Abu Jahal had to do was to convert to Islam for one day, to renounce it later on, to prove Quran wrong! But he didn't.
Quran has also predicted that Islam would become the largest religion in the world. We may see that in our lifetime.
No. Prophet Muhamad did not marry anybody who was a child. There's a mistake in Hadith which has been pointed by many. Here's my evidence from my own web site:

prophet. noun. a person who speaks for God or a deity, or by divine inspiration.
Prophets don't need to have prophecies in the sense of predicting what will happen in the future, they can simply be messengers of Allah in Islam.
