Does Youtube lower its audio quality pretty much?

Now-a-days i have to press almost the full volume to listen the audio properly.But a week back it was all fine,in the same videos i can hear the music pretty loudly with just 1/4 of total volume penetration.i just upgraded the version of my VLC media player,that's the only software change made by me in my pc,so what went wrong? Is it me or youtube!!!?Please help me out....

@Envy As i don't check other video sites on regular basis,so i can't judge them now.

@Abraham,There is no lower audio problem with pre-recorded MP3 or videos,but youtube sound quality almost decreased 50% by now,i just don't get this!!!

@To everybody,my speakers are alright,cause i am not having any low sound quality problems with pre-recorded music and videos,its just youtube,Is it some malwares or something else which preventing loud sound!!?,although i paid 4 a licensed antivirus,now its a clear pain to the *** to listen music!!Help me with whatever you know!!!

    I don't believe that Youtube changes volumes.

    There are different types of volume controls. You might try checking your master volume controls. Click START> All Programs> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume Controls.

    Occasionally I used to get some videos in Low Volume and there is no problem woth that But you say that the same videos you could hear pretty loud a week back

    Long Story Short There is nothing wrong with your PC or Youtube As far as I know The Problem might be In your Speaker

    there is no relation between VLC up-gradation and youtube audio...maybe some streaming problems....better check with other video sites like veoh,dailymotion etc
