Nauseated while smoking cigarettes?

I'm a heavy smoker and have been for over five years. I have not switched brands I've always smoked Newport but for the past four or five days every time I smoke or even smell smoke I gag and have thrown up on two occasions. What could be causing this?

Update:

Pregnancy never even crossed my mind it is possible but I'm about four days til my cycle is expected so its still a little too early to tell. I'm going to try as hard as possible to stop until I find out for sure. If I am that's a wonderful thing and the cigarettes will have to go. Id never risk harming my unborn child. Thanks for the tip. I was thinking maybe Newport changed something and that's why I was getting sick. But it makes sense because even when I smell the smoke I get sick.
