Is this the path we are being led down?  Sure looks like it to us.  And they talk about leaning forward when they are obviously moving us back into the Great Depression days which forced us into a World War.  Only this time it looks as if the USA is leading the world into another world war to tear it all down so this world can be rebuilt in the image of their ideal.  CPUSA likes it so it must be horrible.  Next world war will last about 20 minutes.  Government allowed the outsourcing of American Jobs.  UAW tried to warn us by telling us we were putting an American out of a job by us buying a foreign made car when Volkswagon and Datsun cars were allowed by U.S. government to be sold in this country.  Truth hurts.  Prepare for the days of rationing, sacrifice, and burying loved ones and friends once again.  So much for FORWARD.  That term was used by Hitler too, if you didn't know.  Of course they didn't allow this to be taught in school the past 20 years or so.  Didn't want to blow their cover or compromise their battle cry.  They only made their move too soon and did too much too quickly to undermine society by overthrowing the U.S. Constitution.

Hitler's growth of support had a lot more to do with other factors than just trying to drum up support with the right people. He needed the support of certain industries so he made his message to them clear that they would benefit if they did not oppose him. That's more like Politics 101 than a particularly Nazi-associated strategy, I mean most politicians that don't try that lose out on election year by principle of not attracting the right people.

Hitler (or the Nazis rather) organized Germany in a way that on paper would have actually even at best a temporary solution to Germany's economic problems- it was barely alleviated by WW2. Ironically, unlike the US that almost immediately went into war mode, it was only around 1943 that Germany really stated devoted itself to war production. Why? Hitler wanted the people to believe that he war was going great- so great that they did not need to ration. Compare this to post-Pearl Harbour US where rationing was immediately organized. Sugar was rationed all the way to 1947- interestingly enough, the shortest duration for rationing was coffee, which was just one year from 1942 to 1943. You'd think all those GIs being enlisted would be gulping down that caffeine to relieve stress!

As for Obama, I think he's at worst scrambling to get a grip on things. I doubt he even has the confidence these days to try to get things his way. Whatever horror stories I hear of Obama I hear ten times the amount of popular opinion about how bad a president he is. An unpopular president (I mean in Congress, not just among citizens) is an ineffective president, however good or bad he is.
