Christians, why are you so threatened by atheists?
You constantly attack our morality, our character, our intelligence, our sanity, our maturity, our sexuality, and anything else you can attack us on except the truth. I'm not saying we don't attack you. Certainly we do, but you see, we are the minority, and we know that you are our enemies. You are the enemies of truth, the enemies of reason, the enemies of tolerance and logic and humanism. I didn't make you my enemy. You chose that position for yourselves (and yes, I know I'm generalizing, that not all of you spew hatred, but you stand up to be counted with the enemy when you let them attack us and say nothing). So I get why we attack you. What I can't understand is why you attack us... You're the vast majority, you outnumber us a thousand to one. We don't threaten your way of life in the least. We aren't lobbying congress to take away your rights. We aren't controlling vast sums of money, influencing the economy, or controlling any major elected offices. So why? Why do you fear us so much?
@Cader... oh please, not the "atheistic regimes" crap again. I'm not even gonna get into that because it's not true, never has been, never will be.

they are threatened for the same reason you would be threatened by some dude with more money, is bigger and more well built, is suaver, funnier, smarter, etc. than you talking to your girlfriend at a party.
ie: if duke nukem came up to your girlfriend, you know dukes gonna be inside of her.
so,
they are threatened by the fear of our percieved superiority vs. their own insecurity in our presence.

They fear because we are voice of reason and may cast doubt of propositions hard to believe to begin with. We undermine decades of indoctrination by voicing what must have been on everyones mind at one point or another.
Also, religious beliefs are very emotionally attached and as such when we openly criticize religion and the absurdities of the bible it is seen as personal attacks.

Why need to be enemies? lol
I'm a Christian & my best friend is an Atheist, do we fight? No.
Do we have a strong debate about it? No.
Do we insult each other because of our beliefs? No.
People need to stop hating on others because of their own beliefs.

Well, I don't feel threatened because I know God exists. Mind you some atheist regimes of the last century have been very persecutionary towards christians and other believers, but such regimes are unlikely to get into power in democratic countries.
