Contradictions in the bible?

I see people use this argument all the time, but while I've noticed many rotten, terrible things in the bible, and seen many head-scratching statements, I don't notice a ton of contradictions. Could you please point some out to me?

Update:

Apparently people think I was trying to 'own' them. Not the case. This was a genuine question based from curiosity. And thanks, I've found plenty online.

It's not like every ten sentences has some type of contradiction. There are many throughout though. It's such a long book though that if you do not pay attention and take notes, or use a computer, you will probably not even notice that what you just read, goes against something you read earlier. Look on the net, take notes and do your own comparisons. This does not mean the bible is no good, it just means it was written by men.

There are not any contradictions only variances in numbers and people taking verses out of context with the rest of Scripture as you look on those sites do note how many of the so-called contradictions are not actually contradictions at all. there may be difficulties to understand but not contradictions. and you will see many even that they list are obvious within the context that they are listed are not contradictions just people who want something to point to to say the bible is wrong.

Its kinda like them always making the false claim that there is not proof of anything in the Bible

Even if I did, LP you would not accept them or see them. But there are over 66 contradictions in the bible including the earth will remain 4ever and another verse in the same bible say the earth will be destroyed 4ever. Jesus came with peace and a sword. Rationalize them away or your minister will do it for you. Have a nice day.

More so in the old testament. Its like the people behind the bible thought.. hmm people are starting to leave God because he thinks that he is too hard on them so they wrote the new testament. But I would say the worst one is the moses story when the people are worshiping the lamb and God says to moses that hes just gonna make the human race suffer, but then moses convinces God not to. Don't believe me?? http://www.ezek22.net/s/exod.32.s.html its just under the part that says

"Not a Wise Thing to Do"

You are not seeing it because you refuse to accept the truth that the bible is full of contraindication.

    Edit:

    Poster Cindy

And yet many religious people do take the bible to be literal.

OH right cherry pick parts of the bible. Right, right, I see.

I don't actually see a lot of contradictions in the bible. The websites that purport to show them generally take a very literalist approach. I am a follower of Jesus, but there are things in the OT that also trouble me, and these things are of far more concern to me than alleged contradictions. I typically find that taken in context (or after a search of the original language), there are no significant contradictions in the bible.

Did Judas die by hanging himself because he felt grief over betraying Jesus or did Judas die because God punished him for not being repentant of his evil?

Also, if the crucifixion was part of God's plan for human salvation, why would God punish Judas for helping with his plan?

    John 14:13

"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

I prayed for a box of twinkies a few months ago, and never got any. Is god a liar now???

There are none> it's pure spiritual understanding and the Spirit can only reveal the truth of the word to those who have chosen the road to eternal life.

Yeah, but if you were a GOOD christian Juwan, you would've helped yourself and BOUGHT the box of twinkies and then given him credit for it ;)
