At how many weeks did you get you gender determination ultrasound?
I know at 16 weeks the sex is determined but don't you think it would be better to wait till 20 weeks
I had both of mine at 16 weeks and they were correct but I still couldn't help being worried about the baby coming out the opposite of what they said. All my friends and family had theirs around 20 weeks... I'm just thinking I should prolong it a few more weeks.
I already had that ultrasound and they have told me everytime I've had mine at 16 weeks it's to determine the sex. That's why they have it when your 16-20 weeks. I've had enough ultrasounds to know that. It's not just a "bonus".

I found out at 20 weeks. I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and the baby was so tiny I can't imagine trusting the tech if they told me the gender then. At 20 weeks it was very obvious and I trusted it completely.

I got mine at 19 weeks, thats the earliest the sonographer would do it because she did not want to tell me the wrong gender. Obviously it can be done at 16 weeks, but personally if I was told at that early I most likely wouldn't be running out to buy baby clothes

20 weeks, at the anatomy scan.
Finding out the gender is an added bonus, not the purpose of the scan. It was fun to find out it's a boy (I spotted it easily before the ultrasound technician pointed it out) but far more important to find out his heart has no big holes, his spine is closed, he has no cleft lip and his kidneys are both properly connected to his blood flow.
