Ford 2001 Escape ABS light after a recall?
Daughter had a recall for a brake fluid reservoir cap and the ABS wire harness, had it done yesterday AM . the ABS light came on, they claim it's not related and has it either a bad ABS pump or relay. Some other guy has had the same problem - http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=157...
Any suggestions/ thoughts ?
If the parts were cheap I would replace them, dealer price is $500+ each.

The best thing that i would do is find the help number to ford (and i don't have it) and call them and raise hell and tell them the problem about the abs light as you have on here and tell them what the dealer say ed to you that is a big plus 4 you , and see what they can do 4 you , good luck.

A recall for a brake fluid reservoir cap is totally bogus on a 2001 for escape. Unless it is warped, the seal doesnt seal, totally bogus.
ABS light comes on for various reasons, and you did not have to do the ABS module connector, this is your option to replace, However what what I understand, it could produce a fire, and it also gives the under-bugedited dealer a profit and inconveniences you.
The wire harness does not require replacement, its the module
A brake master cylinder cap for 500, I think you should take that to another dealer.
