Restoring the iPod deletes everything on the iPod but nothing on the computer.
So no.. It won't delete your iTunes songs.

Go into itunes. Click on music under ipod. Click on a song with artwork. Go to the artwork that shows up at the bottom left corner of the screen. Right click on it. Left click on where it says copy. Now go to music in itunes library. Click on the thing that displays the albums by album cover. Go to the cover that goes with the artwork you right clicked on. Select the album. Right click on it. Go to get info. Select the box at the right side of the info window. Right click on it. Click on where it says paste. Click ok.

All apps and records would be erased, and not something would be left. All you track bought off iTunes would be restored, and comparable for apps. in case you have jailbreak apps or illegally downloaded track they are going to be long previous out of your iPod. it would be solid to back up all your track to procure off limewire or maybe different track distributors (Amazon, Rhapsody, etc.) before you restoration.
