MATH QUESTION....Find the constant term in the expansion of (x^2 - 1/x^2)^8?

    (a+b)^n=summation form i=0 to n of C(n,i)*a^n-i*b^i

    in your case a=x^2 and b=-1/x^2 which are reciprocal so the constant term will appear when n-i=i so i=8/2=4

    its value is +C(8,4) = 70 (notice the plus sign due to the power of an even number(4))

    so you result is 70 :)
