Is starting a website hard?

I have a few ideas for a Internet business, but extremely limited capital {i am a student in a expensive course}. I am hoping to create a web based business of a very limited, specific scope.

My question is,is it expensive to create and host a website? i am keeping my question intentionally broad cause i want a broad range of answers. If you want to know what i want to create, its a website inspired by the Huffpo model. But on a very specific topic.

It all depends on what sort of website you want. For example if your website is like you say about one very specific scope, and it's primarily going to be you writing information on it, then a blog would be perfect for you.

The cost of this is practically nothing. You can buy a domain name for around £10/$10, this will last you 2 years before you renew it. They you can download WordPress for absolutely free. You will need your own server, but this can be as cheap as £5/$5 per month.

So yeah you could be up and running very cheaply indeed in the next few days. For things like a logo you can get this made on line very cheap also.

Remember the following before starting a website/web business:

    1. Research full on google about domain, hosting, seo etc,

    2. Read on different websites and don't go with a single review on any website

    3. Proper Project research and Management

To Start a web business ,you surely need a website

If your site is more or less static and you don't expect to get a lot of visitors per month (meaning 1000's), it's going to be pretty affordable and easy for you.

You can host your website on a basic shared account...a lot come with a sitebuilder with templates... so that will save on paying someone to build your website.

Then buy a domain...it is recommended to buy your domain separate from your web host but you can buy it at the same place if you like.

I host my sites at SiteServing and love them so take a look at what they have ( www.siteserving.com )

When you sign up with them, they give you a free sitebuilder....so no extra cost to you.

All in all... you'd be able to do this on a budget. Shared accounts are really affordable.. like $3 a month or so... plus your domain and you'd be set!

    Hope this helps

It wouldn't be easy nor would it be legal unless you have rights to those movies and shows. Also all the SQL, PHP, and Flash you would have to deal with would be a 15 person job at least, if you wanted to do it you'd need lots of money and a Dev team.
