How would I know my water has been broken if...?

I'm almost constantly in the swimming pool or the bath? I'm 36 weeks, but my kid is measured big so he's 37 and half weeks.

Well in those circumstances, you wouldn't know. But its hard to imagine that you are in water all of the time - watch out, you'll dissolve ! If the waters break when you are on dry land, it will be like you just peed yourself and you can't stop. If you are in the water -- you won't know.

Try to stay out of the water if youre to worried about. But it will be sweet smelling and they have test papers at the hospital to see if your water broke or is leaking. My never broke but I couldv'e swore it did on the way to the hospital lol until they said it would be sweet smelling and I was like umm maybe I just wet myself in the middle of a contraction. I did leak until they did a c-section. Also before your water leaks unlike on TV you will be having contractions already but it sounds like it's a little too soon for you. I went into labor about a week early and my baby was measuring huge over 9 pounds!! But my Dr. and the nurses told me to take a warm bath and shower to stop the contractions they didn't stop but they did slow down until I got out so swimming alot and staying in the bath should help you not go into labor early. O and he was measuering over 9 pounds but only weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces when he was born. My ob told me never to believe the ultrasounds alot of times there close but not always he didn't think the baby would be big thats why he was worried about me going into labor a week early. Sorry I got side tracked but I hope I helped!

Your water breaking doesn't always mean labor. It sometimes takes a while once your water breaks. Once the contractions start I'm sure you'll know. I hear they're not all sunshine and rainbows.
