Spiritually cosmic: Are dark matter and dark energy the Yin and Yang which will determine the Universe's fate?
I find dark matter and dark energy captivating, because they're almost in a Yin and Yang opposition in our Universe.
If the former "wins," the Universe will collapse; if the latter does, it will be torn apart. If they're both in balance, the Universe will freeze.
Thoughts?

Nothing in the universe is inherently in competition. That's a spiritual notion that only works in a spiritual context. There is no spiritual aspect to dark matter/energy, especially since several religions deny they even exist.

That is precisely the place faith becomes a detriment to science, when these of religion demand that questions be answered by means of their faith and that scientific investigation should stop. At it can be core, it is taking capabilities of the logical fallacy of complicated the unexplained with the unexplanable. In other words, it assumes that when you consider that forty-60% of the universe is missing that it is going to on no account be found. It will get taken a bit of further and concludes that for the reason that the forty-60% will by no means be found, that it can be "proof" that their faith (and most effective their religion) is a common reality. It is this variety of thinking that held again clinical advancement for so long. Feel of where we'd be if medical professionals nonetheless held that sickness is precipitated by sin. The common lifespan would nonetheless be 30 years, youngster mortality could be very high, we'd suffer from many extra minor (and curable) diseases. Even the fundamentalists take skills of scientific development on some level.

I am an agno-myst
and i think no,
dark matter and dark energy are not separate entities,
it may rather be a mystically neutral form of energy,
because it constitutes the base of the imperceptible existential truth
and is even beyond the grasp of the light
that is considered to be the most divine energy of the universe.

If you noticed the last Nobel Prizes..( Adam Riess Schmidt will share half of the 10 million Swedish crowns ($1.5 million) prize money. Perlmutter won the rest). for the discovery the expansion of the universe is speeding up. That means the universe will not contract, it will spread out, ice up and end in nothing.

Dark matter and energy are really rather different. Dark energy or force stands in opposition to gravity. Since both "normal" matter and dark matter are gravity dependent, it appears that, in the end, dark force will emerge victorious.

Not likely, no.
Some recent work suggests they're simply the natural properties of spacetime. Making them far less "exotic" than some people seem to think.
Peace.

Sort of like a co-existing negative-image Universe, trying to obtain the same space as ours...while ours is trying to do the same to them......
Think about all the "weird" days you've ever had.......think you haven't been passing by doorways?
(Oh my - I haven't even started smoking yet!! LOL)
