7 simple steps to discipline your dog:
1. Be contiguous in trainings – Dogs get trained by repeating acts. The much more you repeat - the better they learn.
2. Never call the dog for training in the command you use to call him to come. Many times you should go on the dog until he learned the command.
3. Never hit your dog. The dogs are not perfect and sometimes they do things which could piss you off, but if you beat your dog, he will get afraid of you. Dogs bite not of malice but from fear.
4. Always reward you pet when generating what you need him to do. No matter if the reward is going to be a treat or just some nice words.
5. Don’t enable your dog to get dominating behavior. If the dog feels that has any influence upon any person of one's family, he will get out of hand.
6. All of one's loved ones need to join efforts to discipline the dog. That is quite important, due to the fact the dog need to find his place inside loved ones (as they say “his role inside pack”).
7. Don’t try to teach your dog complicated and difficult tricks at the quite commencing of his education. Begin with simple commands.

Hey!
Wow! Lots of questions :-) Must be super excited about your baby yorkie girl.
Food: I feed all 5 of my dogs halo brand dog food, it's natrual and has been great on their stomachs... been years since the puppy stage though. When they got to be a little older I mix chicken or tuna and a little cheese and green beans in with their food and they absolutely LOVE it. http://www.halopets.com/
House Training: I have had incredible luck with puppy pads and a strict schedule. Getting them used to a routine has been key with all 5 of my dogs.
Exercise: Yorkies are smaller and require a little less then say a Lab, but if you notice your pup getting distructive, IE eating your shoes or biting too much, it probably needs more exercise.
Harness!! You can put a collar on as well for tags or to look pretty, but when walking a yorkie I would DEFINITELY use a harness. They have super small tracheas and I worry with pulling on a collar you could crush it. I have heard of this happening before. I think this is a GREAT harness for small-medium dogs : http://www.moondoggieinc.com/soft_harness.php, but check out the denim harnesses as well, for a yorkie they are super cute!
Leash: I prefer retractables, but I think that is a personal preference.
Clothing: A lot of dogs LOVE clothing, it isn't uncomfortable for them... you'll notice if they are uncomfortable. My little rat terrier girl adores being dressed up. I think it's because of all the attention she gets from everyone. All the Ohhs and Ahhs from people i what makes being dressed up fun for the dog. Moondoggie has a killer selection of dog clothes. I absolutely adore it. http://www.moondoggieinc.com/dog-clothing.php
I wish I could help with some grooming tips, but I take my guys to a groomer.
Other tips, If she's still a little puppy, try crate training. It will make your life easier no matter what.Plus dogs love the security it brings. Put a few of your old tshirts in the bed with her so she doesn't get scared and worried. Also at night cover the crate with a towel. The darker inclosed space makes them feel safer.
Hope this help!!!

For comfort and control fit her with a well fitting adjustable step in harness. Walks are best with a light weight six foot leash. The long retractable leashes are great for sitting still and letting your puppy explore while you can do other things, at the beach, a park bench, some one Else's yard. Exercise is relative and individual. Some small dogs like the attention and comfort of clothing, others are annoyed and quickly wiggle out of them. I use a metal comb. a flea comb and two different brushes. I like the wide spaced metal comb best for removing dead under coat on my small male Chihuahua. Potty training starts early and should be constant and consistant. Introducing the dogs in a neutral park or lot is fine. They will get aquanted and sleep on the trip home.

The faster the greater. eight weeks is the perfect age to begin a courting with ur new buddy. I received my dog whilst he was once four a million/two weeks historic that is WAY to younger however it HAD to be performed. He's 7 weeks historic at present and he is doing exceptional. Make certain he has his first set of pictures and likewise make certain he is dealt with for worms, which all dogs have. Take him external continually. whilst he wakes up from a sleep, after he is performed ingesting, within the mornings and b4 mattress. and do not assume him to head all night time with no need to head potty. and specifically if he begins to smell round. And my recommendation at the title factor... I requested on right here what I must title my dog and I got here up with 50-60 names! good he was once NOT enthusiastic about any of them. Your dog will assist you to recognise what he likes. Don't fear approximately combined breeds, I'm French-Canadian- Indian, and my moms and dads did not have any disorders coaching me :-) Don't strain to so much, you can be simply satisfactory

The Yorkshire Terrier prefers a warm climate and plenty of exercise, although most of it can be indoors. This little dog often neglects to consider her small size when challenging adversaries. Most of them get along well with other dogs and pets, especially if well socialized when young. They like children but small children may injure them. As a reminder, never leave a child unsupervised with a puppy or dog.
