i really want to try voice lessons because i enjoy singing, but I am pretty bad. Please don't be mean (i know im ugly and i know its a crappy video, first video so yeah) I asked my dad for voice lessons and he said that i should explore other things because it probably wouldn't help. what do u think? pl be honest but nice!

I HATE my school. The kids are all snobby, one of my friends broke my phone and was just a jerk before too. And she has cyber bullied my other friends and the school was supposed to "keep an eye on her" and they FAILED. and I have to wear a uniform, which sucks. Also, its a little of a "rich kid" school so all the people there are kind of snobby. The school is $10,000 a year and that is as much as my parents can afford (they're both teachers so yeah....) so please don't recommend anything more expensive. My best friend (same one who got cyber bullied) is probably going to wheeler next year (which is $40,000 a year so unless anyone knows any good scholarship options then that's OUT). I want to go the the public school, (Cumberland) because i know some people there. They are one grade above me but they are still nice. And they live down my street. The problem is that my parents have a bit of prejudice against public schools because they have both taught at some pretty bad ones (Pawtucket- Special Ed department) and they both know some kids from Central Falls. And for some reason they think that Cumberland High is a bad school. So even though i have asked them, and they could save $10,000 year they still won't let me go! Its also because I went to a public school in kindergarten and the teacher didn't go fast enough and my parents are worried that I won't get the education i need. They are also worried it wouldn't look good an a college application (which by the way, if they save over $10,000 a year for all of high school, then wouldn't that help pay for college so I wouldn't need a HUGE scholarship? And isn't good grades good grades no matter where its from?) So anyways, what are some good private schools in Rhode Island that are $10,000 or less? Preferably without a uniform. Also, I am very much into arts (I love to draw and I have been told that I am pretty good) so arts high schools would be fine as long as it isn't too expensive and is in either Rhode Island or a bordering city in MA (Attleborow and such)

Ok so theres this girl that i guess im friends with. And shes really bossy, shes always telling me to buy her stuff, (including dangle earrings and a vera bradley cell phone case). Last year she cyberbullied two of my other friends (threatening texts) so obviously they do not have the best opinion of her. They think i should be mad at her and i guess in some respectsi should be. she has taken my phone and lost it (but she found it pretty quick i just had to beg her to look) and she takes sparring so she always wants to practice with me. The problem is that i dont do any form of martial arts. Shes always showing me how she blocks and she kinda likes to see me fail at blocking her. She accidentally punched me in the nose once (but it barely even bled so no big deal right?) she also accidentally punched me in the jaw once but it barely hurt so its ok right? And she also drags me places by the hair a lot which gets painful and annoying but i can deal. And she sometimes threatens me but i don't think she means it. She insults me a lot but usually not too bad. Although sometimes it does get offensive. For example, when we met, she introduced me to bands like blood on the dance floor and black veil brides. Now she hates both and she constantly calls me a freak for still liking them. I also recently got scene hair, and i thought it looked good, but she said that it looks really bad on me. She is also one of those kids that gets almost whatever piercing she wants, so shes also constantly bragging. I have another friend who thinks shes a ***** and thinks i shouldn't hang out with her. Although she never actually did anything to her, just me sometimes. Back to what i was saying earlier, she constantly asks for favors, and most of the time i do it for her. But her requests have gotten.....more expensive. See, she's not poor, but i go to a pretty expensive private school and she's not quite as well off as everyone else. Now, she somehow thinks i'm rich, both of my parents are teachers- you do the math. So she keeps asking me for things that involve lying to my parents and spending their money. And by the way, i already am lying to my parents by hanging out with her. My mom met her once at the mall and my mom decided that i shouldn't hang out with her. It was a little judgmental of my mom but she was wearing a pin that said "im not antisocial i just hate u". She also keeps telling me to do things that are kind of against school rules. And she wanted to pierce my navel for me. And when i said no she said "can i still poke the hole so i can get more piercing experience?" And by the way she wanted to do it in the school bathroom. And she wanted to do my cartilage too. She thinks she can order me around. How can i show her that i'm not her slave and should i stay friends with her at all?

2. Where can i get the ring? I live near(ish) a mall and a CVS and a Sally's beauty store.

3. Just in case, is there anything I can use instead of an actual ring intended for a nave piercing? anyway i could make one?

1. I want to use either Manic Panic or Splat hair dye, these are good, safe brands right? I need a nice and safe brand for my parents but I refuse to use kiddie dye, and those two brands have the coolest colors.

I am 13 but i look and act a little old for my age i guess, and I turn 14 pretty soon. And a lot of my friends have dyed their hair. I just want to use a semi-permanent hair dye (which is supposed to last about 6 weeks) just to experiment a little and do some fun stuff (I'm thinking maybe coon tails). I asked my parents over the summer and my dad was kind of close to saying yes but my mom said no (my mom ALWAYS says no to stuff more than my dad). My dad has a thing against facial piercings, because my friend (whose 4 months younger than me by the way) got a nose stud and i asked for one. He gave me this lecture about how permanent it was and I understood and I know I'm a little young for it anyways. He told me within that lecture that he doesn't have problems with non-permanent stuff. I didn't bring up the hair dye then because I was scared he'd say no. I have scene hair but i don't style it that often because my hair is really hard to straighten and stuff. One problem with my dad is he's really into the natural look. He won't let me get a keratin treatment because he thinks i should learn "to accept the natural way of my hair" no matter how stupid it makes me look. Another problem (and this is why the whole "my friends have it" thing doesn't work) is that he thinks all my friends are spoiled. I go to a private school and I know why he thinks this. Example: my friend dropped her blackberry in the toilet ON PURPOSE and her dad buys her a new iPhone. this same friend also has a house on Martha's Vineyard (I've been there its REALLY nice) but she complains about how much she hates it. My parents also get annoyed easily. In the past I've tried begging them for stuff with PowerPoint, or letters or packets (including a second ear piercing, a helix piercing, feather hair extensions, going to warped tour and voice lessons) all of which FAILED. Although this year, I asked subtly for a puppy and i just learned about it a little and told them the facts and the logical stuff and they said yes. I only actually asked them once and the n they asked me for some information (like the breed, where i could get it, food brands, etc) and then a few weeks later they let me get one. I didn't make a PowerPoint or anything like that. I'm not sure if i should try the whole letter/PowerPoint thing again on this because its never really worked in the past. My mom particularly is kind of irritable and she gets very annoyed when i have her sit through a presentation like that. The problem is, I don't know how I should ask. My dad has some objections to the whole scene look, but he really only shows them when he's in a bad mood. They both teach at public schools, and he always says how "he doesn't see anyone that looks like that" and to be honest I'm not THAT scene. He otherwise seems pretty excepting. He wants me to "be myself" and all. (to clear things up if your confused, he thinks being scene is just trying too hard to imitate the bands i like so therefore he doesn't really see it as being myself) My parents also work kind of hard to put me in the school I'm in and I'm in all honor classes so I know that they value the whole education thing A LOT. i get report cards in October or maybe November I think (possibly even late September) so if i do really well it would help A LOT. My parents do worry that stuff like piercing and hair dye would negatively affect my academics so how do i prove it wont? does anyone have any statistics on that or something? My mom also thinks I'm too young (maybe i am but i really don't care :D) but she thinks I'm too young to do ANYTHING. Also, I can be pretty bad at kissing up and I'm not sure if it would help so any advice on that? it usually takes me like an hour and a half and my hair does not stay straight for that long. and it usually maintains a wave. my hair is extremely curly and really poofy and frizzy and kinda greasy. im white but when i dont do anything to it it kinda looks like afro hair. its a few inches past shoulder length and i have A LOT of layers. i have this haircut (my profile pic is rlly old):

and im gonna need it straight! my hair is kinda greasy, so can you name any products that would help? please don't just tell me to use heat protectant because i know that i should but it always makes my hair greasy. i need products that will help get it straight and keep it straight. or also any products that would cut down greasiness. I've tried baking soda and all that other weird stuff and it does not work. my hair is also a little dry and really frizzy so how can i help with that? its like curls but they're all frizzed out. i sometimes use this smoother shampoo and it kinda makes it less frizzy and doesn't make it too greasy, but it doesn't help very much with straightening. my parents wont let me get a keratin treatment because it has formaldehyde in it so that's out. they also wont let me dye it or bleach it. and my straightener is kinda cheap but i cant get a new one until at lest Christmas so please don't tell me to get a new one. and for the products please don't make them too expensive. and also please do not comment on my spelling.

ok my hair is like a perm on steroids when i dont straighten it, i got bad luck from the gene pool, its really bad. i need it straight, i have scene hair (heres a pic thats similar: http://newhaircolors.net/scene-girl-hairstyles.htm... and it looks CRAZY when i dont straighten it. i know how to tease it and make it look good so i dont needtips on that, but what i do need is how to make it straight and keep it straight. i have an old cheap connair straightener (i cant get a new one until at least Christmas so i need help) i have tryed multiple products (including jon frieda 3 day straight, garnier and redeken smoother) and they often make my hair oily. my mom wont let me get a keratin treatment and im broke so that wont work. i need really easy tips that will really help. and please explain them like you are talking to an idiot because you kind of are; i am really bad at straightening hair so yeah. also, how can i do it faster? i take over an hour and the results dont even look that good.

My dad said I could go to warped tour but there was a catch. He had to come with me. I told him that I wouldn't go in the mosh pits (I know that they really aren't that dangerous but my parents don't), I would have my phone with me at all times, and I wouldn't do anything too stupid. He likes a lot of the music but Blood on the Dance Floor is going to be there and I want to see them but if any of you have heard their music you would know that it would be awkward to see them live with your dad right next to you. And my dad would probably have a fit because earlier this year he had a fit and made me delete all of their songs from my Ipod except two (Right to Love and Believe). He likes acoustic stuff so I was thinking that maybe I could subtly send him off to a stage where they play the acoustic stuff (i think its called the Acoustic Basement?) or some other stage like that plays clean, acoustic or light rock type music. How would I do that and does anyone think it will work? Or maybe if its really hot he will go to Reverse Daycare for the free water and air conditioning but do you think it would actually work. One of my friends might come with me and if she does I have a much better chance of my dad leaving us alone but does anyone have any ideas on how to get her parents to let her go?
