From military officer to banking, possible?

I really want to get into private equity after college but first and foremost my life dream is to serve as an Air Force officer (wanted to do this since i was 6).

I've been doing a lot of research on people who have done this, at least into ibanking, but there doesn't seem to be a cut clear way of doing this.

Unlike the profiles i've read, i don't go to a Big Ten school for my undergrad, but I am an engineering major currently with a 3.3 gpa doing AFROTC.

I was thinking about applying to be either a civil/developmental engineer or intelligence officer when it comes time to commission, but would love to fly

From there do my best to get into a top MBA program (pref. Harvard, Stanford, UPenn, Booth)

Then what?

By the time this is all done, i'd be 30yr old, is that to old to break into banking?

People have gone from the military to the presidency. And banking is not a young man's game anyway. Serve your country and then go into banking, you will be fine!
