Why does the USA claim to bring democracy to other countries if a REPUBLIC is better?

It's a PR stunt. In truth, the US props up right-wing unelected dictators in place of elected left-wing presidents.

A representative democracy is necessarily a republic.

I think conservatives confuse the term republic with confederacy from believing that is what our constitution outlines.

However we are a federation, not a confederation.

Because we could more easily influence a democracy than a republic.

A republic is a representative democracy. In a republic the populace elects representatives to speak for them since a pure democracy becomes unwieldy when populations are large.

Because most of the politicians have no idea what they are doing. The USA really needs to work on promoting stability both in the USA and the countries they are in.

The founders didn't want us to go out and force other people to be like us, they wanted us to be an example to other nations so that they would WANT to be like us.

Historically though, democrats have been greater warmongers... Democrats started WW1 (which led to World War 2 when we forced the Germans to pay for the entire costs of the war and destroyed their economy).

FDR got us into World War 2 by giving weapons and money to the enemies of Germany..

Truman nuked japan and got us into the Korean war

Kennedy started the vietnam war and LBJ expanded it

Clinton made everyone in the Middle East hate us by setting up military bases on their lands and bombing the people that tried to make us leave.

Also his sanctions on Iraq that killed 1 million people didn't make them like us.

Democracy is slang for republic. No true democracy exists.

maybe they want to see the countries implode from within by being mooched to death
