Start out with small runs like a 1-2 mile run, and about every month or when you feel comfortable add another mile until you get to about 6 or 7 miles a day. 3-4 days out of the week you can do distance runs which is where you run at a comfortable pace(you should be able to breathe comfortably) and do more miles. 1-2 days out of the week you could try a faster, harder, and shorter run like running on hills for a mile or 2 or run a mile as fast as you can(you will be amazed at how fast your mile time will go down). I would recommend taking 1 or 2 days out of the week to rest. You will lose those pounds in no time at all. How many miles you run a day is based how you feel and what you want to do. You dont need to push your self everyday cause it will catch up with you eventually. You could throw out everything i said haha and still lose the weight just running a mile a day but you may feel like you want to do more once you get used to it. 11 months is more than enough time to lose that weight. Remember to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated in the heat.

i was 5-8 200 pounds when i started and i dropped to 175 in about 3 months to enlist last year. just run a mile or two per day and eat right. no soda, no beer, no pizza, no fast food none of that crap. give your body rest time. go to sleep at decent times. and youll be fine.
plus your recruiter is rousin you. you can probably get in at like 188 or something
all you need is 23 percent body fat
