Are any of your family members connected to the 2012 Olympics in any way ?

One of my nieces,a bus driver here in Devon, was among many vetted & selected to drive the teams to all the appropriate venues for the duration of the Games.

She is having a great time, finds it extremely interesting but tiring as she works 12 hour shifts each day,2pm to 2 am.The drivers are well looked after, well fed, accomodated & even have their laundry done including their uniforms

The drivers are not allowed to speak to any competitors, just drive them to where they have to go.

Only a loose link in that a friend of my daughter in law who is also a dance instructor voluntarily trained some of the children featured in the opening ceremony.

She was very busy and like your niece she put in a lot of hours.

I'm sure what they're all doing will be proven to be so worthwhile and they will hold those memories forever in what has proven to be a wonderful experience so far.

BTW 3rd in the medal table.....who would have thought it !

recommendations-blowing determination of events!! i could no longer supply a toss relating to the Olympics OR the soccer worldwide cup , yet i could truthfully watch your version. quite the Scousers greeting the contest with a 'Kirkby Kiss'. with a bit of luck there will be a Scottish contingent -led via Rab C Nesbit? You forgot worldwide TWOCing wherein contestants attempt to take different opposition autos & ring them
