Who is God? Who is Jesus? And who is the Holy Spirit?

Many claim the following to be God... MOLECH, Ashtoreth, Baal, Dagon, Merodach, Zeus, Hermes, and Artemis, Alah, Jesus. Who do you believe to be God and on what grounds have you based your conclusion?

Was Jesus God or God's son? A father and son are 2 different things and people who believe in Jesus believe in the Bible. The Bible teaches that Jesus came from the line of David so inherited the legal right as King, also David was told through his seed a King would come and rule to time indefinite. Jesus had to flee from the people who tryed making him king on earth as his kingdom is no part of the world, but rather it is in heaven to rule over earth. This is why the Bible teaches that Jesus was to sit at God's right hand until his enemys were cast out of heaven and put as his footstool, that was the time Jesus was to become king, that date being 1914, and the signs of the times we live in show that Jesus reign as King has began. Also Jesus said when being accused of making himself God, he was God's son, and it is even written they are gods. God is a title but Jesus never claimed to be God and God said Jesus was his son, like when Jesus was baptised in the Jordan Jehovah said this is his son whom he approves.

Who is the holy spirit? What do you believe and based on what?

    King James Bible explains Jesus' relationship with his heavenly Father at 1 Corinthians 15:22-28) 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

    Matt 28:18 Jesus says that all power(authority) has been given him and at Dan 2:44 we see that a Kingdom is set up by the true God with Jesus Christ a the ruler(Heb 1:1-13;Col 1:13-19).

    At the end of the thousand year reign we see what 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 speaks of, Jesus' rule will abolish all other governments and man last enemy will be no more and at that time Jesus subjects himself to his heavenly Father Jehovah the very one that put everything(gave Jesus his authority) under Jesus!

    At John 14:26 we read what Jesus told his followers 26. But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    There is no recorded person in the scriptures or in the history books that fulfilled what Jesus said at John 14:26, we do know that at Pentecost 120 disciples of Christ where anointed by Holy Spirit(Ghost) in the form of fire and threw out the scriptures we see the Holy Spirit as fire, wind, dove, pillars of fire, clouds etc. We seen the Holy Spirit being poured out and we see it has been taken away but never does the scriptures say it's a person, the scriptures say the Holy Spirit is God's power, the true God is invisible so would his strength his power be invisible.

    The trinity doctrine's roots are in pagan cultures and has been refined as has many other pagan beliefs to fit into the Christian faith, why do you think God call false religion the mother of [HARLOTS]? It is because false pagan beliefs, false stories and traditions of men have been adulterated into the Christian faith!

    1. YHWH or JHVH, in English we say Jehovah. Ps 83:18

    This is whom Jesus called his God and Father.

    2. Jesus is the Son of God.

    3. The Holy spirit is the power of God.

    My understanding, reason, and logic of the Holy Scriptures.

    Then I accepted a free home Bible study with Jehovah's Witnesses....

    and increased my Bible knowledge in a vast way.

    Is Jehovah a Trinity—three persons in one God? No!

    Jehovah, the Father, is "the only true God." (John 17:3; Mark 12:29)

    Jesus is His firstborn Son, and he is subject to God. (1 Corinthians 11:3)

    The Father is greater than the Son. (John 14:28)

    The holy spirit is not a person; it is God's active force.—Genesis 1:2; Acts 2:18.

    Historical facts regarding the Trinity, from recorded history:

    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102002444?q=tri...

    An Excerpt:

    One Catholic Church teaching that had long been shrouded in controversy

    was the Trinity—

    the belief that God is made up of three persons.

    In fact, historian Earl Morse Wilbur explains that it

    “was the subject of much debate in the Middle Ages

    among Catholic theologians, including even Popes themselves.”

    However, such debate rarely filtered down to the common man,

    who was expected to accept such doctrines on faith as “divine mysteries.”

    Yet, some in the 16th century chose to go against tradition and examine the Scriptures

    in an attempt to clarify such mysteries.

    Their motto was sola Scriptura (Scripture alone).

    Those who rejected the Trinity doctrine—

    some of whom were later called Unitarians,

    as opposed to Trinitarians—

    often became the object of intense persecution by Catholics and Protestants alike.

    They printed their widely read works under pseudonyms

    and hid themselves away to avoid persecution.

    Anti-Trinitarians were also at the forefront in the fight for tolerance.

    Some, such as the Spanish theologian Michael Servetus,

    even paid for their convictions with their lives.*

    Reading further on, we find this:

    The debate started at five o’clock in the morning on March 3, 1568.

    It was held in Latin and lasted ten days.

    The Trinitarian side was led by Peter Melius,

    leader of the Transylvanian Reformed Church.

    He and those arguing in favor of the Trinity used the creeds,

    the Church Fathers, Orthodox theology, and the Bible.

    On the other hand, Dávid appealed to the Bible alone.

    Dávid identified the Father as God,

    the Son as being subject to the Father,

    and the spirit as the power of God.

    Deeply interested in religious matters, Sigismund took part,

    believing that discussion was the best way to bring out the truth.

    His presence helped to ensure a free and open, if somewhat heated, discussion.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Any person, upon reading, researching,
    the Scriptures can come to a clear understanding.
    I did. I was not raised a Christian.
    Anyone that comes to you with any other teaching, is a part of the antichrist.
    Hence, is a part of; the antichrist.
    When the Christ, the Son of God, walked the earth, he had many enemies.
    Although he is now beyond physical reach, he has modern-day opponents.
    Note who are included among them.
    The apostle John stated:
    “Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ?
    This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22)
    Apostates and leaders of false worship twist the clear teachings of Jesus
    into knots of religious deceit.
    Such ones reject Bible truth and spread lies in the name of God and Christ.
    They deny the true relationship of the Father and the Son by their Trinity doctrine.
    Therefore, they too are a part of the antichrist.
    You can learn about the Holy Spirit in the following passage.
    +++
    John 14
    Contemporary English Version (CEV)
    Jesus Is the Way to the Father
    14 Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.[a] 2 There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. 3 After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together. 4 You know the way to where I am going.”
    5 Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t even know where you are going! How can we know the way?”
    6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life!” Jesus answered. “Without me, no one can go to the Father. 7 If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.”
    8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need.”
    9 Jesus replied:
    Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don’t you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father? 10 Don’t you believe that I am one with the Father and that the Father is one with me? What I say isn’t said on my own. The Father who lives in me does these things.
    11 Have faith in me when I say that the Father is one with me and that I am one with the Father. Or else have faith in me simply because of the things I do. 12 I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. 13 Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father. 14 I will do whatever you ask me to do.
    The Holy Spirit Is Promised
    15 Jesus said to his disciples:
    If you love me, you will do as I command. 16 Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help[b] you and always be with you. 17 The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don’t see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you.
    18 I won’t leave you like orphans. I will come back to you. 19 In a little while the people of this world won’t be able to see me, but you will see me. And because I live, you will live. 20 Then you will know that I am one with the Father. You will know that you are one with me, and I am one with you. 21 If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like.
    22 The other Judas, not Judas Iscariot,[c] then spoke up and asked, “Lord, what do you mean by saying that you will show us what you are like, but you will not show the people of this world?”
    23 Jesus replied:
    If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them. 24 But anyone who doesn’t love me, won’t obey me. What they have heard me say doesn’t really come from me, but from the Father who sent me.
    25 I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the Holy Spirit will come and help[d] you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you.
    27 I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn’t like the peace that this world can give. So don’t be worried or afraid.
    Greetings,
    When we listen to what the Scriptures are saying they are very clear in telling us the relationship and roles of God, his Son and God's holy spirit. The Bible never contradicts nor confuses with incomprehensible doctrines like the trinity.
    The clearly states: "Now this is eternal life, that they should KNOW you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ" (Jn.17:3).
    And "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live" (1Cor.8:6).
    "The Son of God ... has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one God [Jehovah]. And we are in union with the true one, by means of his Son Jesus Christ."—1Jn 5:20.
    The Bible teaches us that the Father, Jehovah, alone is Almighty God, Jesus Christ is His created Son, and the holy spirit is not a person but God's active force (Ps. 83:18; Acts 2:4; Col.1:15; Rev.3:14).
    God, the father, is our Creator the Source of all life (Rev.4:11) "the Most High over all the earth" and Universal Sovereign (Ps 36:9; 83:18; 2Kngs 19:15). He is the Supreme Law-Giver and ultimate judge (Isa.33:22; Rev.15:3,4).
    Jesus is the begotten devine Son of God. His name means "Jehovah Is Salvation" (Mt.16:16; Col.1:15,16). We must recognize Christ's office and authority to gain salvation. He is the one through whom God has provided a ransom to save mankind (Jn. 3:16; 1Tim.2:5,?6). Because Jesus died faithful, God resurrected him from the dead and gave him new authority "exalting him to a superior position." To please God we must acknowledge Christ as our Lord (Php.2:9-11) Jesus is Jehovah's "Faithful Witness" and has been appointed "King of kings." (Rev.1:5; 19:16). This means we must obey Jesus' commandments since he is God's representative (Jn 15:10; 1Tim.2:5). Christ is also our Leader because he gave us a pattern to follow in how we live our life (1Pt.2:21). This is the definition of being "Christian."
    The holy spirit or holy "wind" is Jehovah's active force, with which he accomplishes his purposes (Ac 1:8; Jn.14:16,17). God sends this force to inspire Bible writers, and so forth. (Gen.1:2; 2; Sam. 23:1,2; 2Pt.1:21) This force is also sent by God to give us guidance and strength to do what is right (Gal.5:22,23). Jehovah's spirit is vital in order to comprehend "the deep things of God" and display the godly fruitage of "love, joy, peace, faith, etc" (1Cor.2:10). God's spirit is needed to carry on the Kingdom-preaching work (Joel 2:28,29). The spirit of God energizes men to speak his message of truth boldly and courageously (Mic 3:8).
    The holy spirit is God's "free gift," which he gladly grants to those who sincerely seek and request it (Ac 2:38; Lu 11:9-13). A right heart is the key factor (Ac 15:8), but knowledge and conformity to God's requirements are essential factors (cf. Ac 5:32; 19:2-6). Once received, the Christian should not ‘grieve' God's spirit by disregarding it (Eph 4:30; Isa 63:10), or taking a course contrary to its leading and its counsel to oneself (Ac 7:51-53; 1Th 4:8; compare Isa 30:1,2).
    The fact that Jesus is not God almighty is a very clear and explicit teaching in the Bible. Every scripture which says that Jesus has a God clearly proves that Jesus cannot be Almighty God. The Bible speaks of Jesus having a God over him at least 17 times even after he returned to heaven! (Mic.5:4; Jn.20:17; Rom.15:6; Heb.1:9; 1Pt.1:3; Rev.1:6; 3:2,12).
    Could it ever be said that Almighty God has a God? Not without imaginative equivocation and contradiction.
    True Christians accept Christ's own words when he says "The Father is greater than I" (Jn.14:28).
    Jesus plainly said that he did not know what Almighty God knew on earth or in heaven (Mk.13:32; Mat 20:23).
    Even when Jesus is as high as he will ever get 1Cor.15:27,28 shows that Jesus will still be "subject" to his God in the same way we are "subject" to him (See RSV).
    EVERY explicit statement in Scripture shows that Jesus was less than Almighty God at every point of his existence.
    Conversely, EVERY Trinitarian "proof text" requires an ignorance of context and Hebrew and Greek grammar. Every text Trinitarians cite requires that an interpretation be "read into" the scripture which contradicts the Biblical teaching.
    Hope that helps,
    BAR-ANERGES
  • THE Bible says that although there are many who are viewed as gods, “there is actually to us one God the Father.” (1 Corinthians 8:5, 6) That “one God” is Jehovah, the Creator of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Revelation 4:11) Jesus referred to him as “my God and your God.” (John 20:17) He agreed with Moses, who had earlier stated: “Jehovah is the true God; there is no other besides him.” (Deuteronomy 4:35) Jehovah is far superior to any objects of worship, such as idols, deified humans, or his enemy Satan the Devil, “the god of this system of things.” (2 Corinthians 4:3, 4) In contrast to all of these, Jehovah is, as Jesus called him, “the only true God.”—John 17:3.
    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102002062?q=wh...
    CHRIST
    This title from the Greek Khri·stos′ is equivalent to the Hebrew Ma·shi′ach, “Messiah; Anointed One.” (Compare Mt 2:4, ftn.) “Christ” is not a mere appellative added to distinguish the Lord Jesus from others of the same name; it is an official title.—See JESUS CHRIST; MESSIAH.
    The coming of the Christ, the one whom Jehovah would anoint with his spirit to be the Messianic King, had been foretold centuries before Jesus’ birth. (Da 9:25, 26) However, at his birth, Jesus was not yet the Anointed One or Christ. In foretelling his birth, the angel instructed Joseph: “You must call his name Jesus.” (Mt 1:21) But when the shepherds near Bethlehem were given the angelic announcement, in anticipation of Jesus’ future role they were told: “There was born to you today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord,” that is, “who is to be Christ the Lord.”—Lu 2:11, ftn.
    The personal name of Jesus followed by the title Christ may call attention to the person himself and that he is the one who became the Anointed One of Jehovah. This occurred when he reached about 30 years of age, was baptized in water, and was anointed with Jehovah’s spirit visibly observed in the form of a dove descending upon him. (Mt 3:13-17) This is the point Peter made at Pentecost: “God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus,” evidently recalling the expression he had heard from the lips of Jesus, who first used the term “Jesus Christ.” (Ac 2:36-38; Joh 17:3) This expression “Jesus Christ” is also used in the opening and closing words of the Christian Greek Scriptures.—Mt 1:1; Re 22:21.
    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200000966?q=wh...
    “Power of the Most High”
    The Scriptures make clear that the holy spirit is a force that God uses to accomplish his will. When the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would have a son even though she was a virgin, the angel told her: “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son.” (Luke 1:35) According to Gabriel’s words, there is a link between the holy spirit and the “power of the Most High.”
    A similar idea appears elsewhere in the Bible. The prophet Micah said: “I myself have become full of power, with the spirit of Jehovah.” (Micah 3:8) Jesus promised his disciples: “You will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon you.” (Acts 1:8) And the apostle Paul spoke of “the power of holy spirit.”—Romans 15:13, 19.
    So, what may we conclude from the foregoing? There is a close connection between the holy spirit and the power of God. The holy spirit is the means by which Jehovah exerts his power. Put simply, the holy spirit is God’s applied power, or his active force. And what a force that is! We cannot comprehend the power needed to create the entire universe. Through the prophet Isaiah, Jehovah suggested that we reflect on the following: “Raise your eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one of them is missing.”—Isaiah 40:26.
    Thus the Bible indicates that the universe in all its order and harmony exists thanks to the “dynamic energy,” or power, of Almighty God. Clearly, God’s active force is immense, and our own existence depends on it.—See the box “The Holy Spirit in Action.”
    Jehovah may use his holy spirit on a grand scale, as in the creation of the universe. But he can also use it in behalf of his human creation. The Bible abounds in references to how God’s active force infused his servants on earth with power.
    The holy spirit is "The Helper" sent from Jehovah, who resides in Heaven. Jesus ransom sacrifice opened the way for the operation of Spirit to help those who earnestly seek knowledge and wisdom from God.
    "Most truly I say to you, He that exercises faith in me, that one also will do the works that I do; ...whatever it is that you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son. . .and I will request the Father and he will give you another helper to be with you forever, the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. You know it, because it remains with you and is in you. I shall not leave you bereaved. . . In that day you will know that I am in union with my Father and you are in union with me and I am in union with you. He that has my commandments and observes them, that one is he who loves me. In turn he that loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and will plainly show myself to him." John 14:12-21
