laptop charger is working for only a few seconds at a time?
I have it plugged in as far into the computer as far as it will go, and no matter what angle it is plugged in at, it charges but keeps disconnecting every few seconds. Any idea how to fix this so I can charge my laptop while I'm on it?

1. Ensure that the power cord and/or AC adapter are plugged into the computer and that the
connection is solid and not loose fitting.
2. Verify that the power cord is plugged into AC adapter completely.
3. Attempt to use a different electrical outlet.
4. Try a different latptop to see if same issue happens.
Always, the green/blue LED on charger needs to be constantly on. If not, replace the defective charger.
Since battery/ ac adapter has its own lifespan and does not last forever, to help you save up some, you can consider getting a charger under lifetime warranty from store like topmic.com
Good luck!

try unplugging the battery pack and see if the computer powers up.
if charging is what you really want, one of 2 things to try: replacement laptop battery $150 or laptop charger $40. cheaper than taking it in for repair. if neither work, you can tell him that you tried replacing both. if your power connector is flaky or loose, then you need to take your laptop in to have the connector replaced. you can tell if you can push slightly on the connector at an angle and the charge light comes on (there may be a delay on some models of laptops, don't know).
link is service departments where you can find a local mfr authorized repair shop. get an estimate.

See that black box on the power cord adapter, check the led light on it or feel it should be getting warm when charging, the led light should be bright and on if the led light goes out then the transformer is going bad inside the black box in which converts ac to dc power replace the power cord assembly
