Itching all over- with no rash, until I scratch?

I've been itching for a few days now, and my skin looks normal. Its absolutely clear until I start to scratch. Once I do, I get small raised bumps in the lines where I scratched. The only thing I can think it may be is an allergy, but I have done nothing new in the past week or before. I've used the same soaps, shampoos, lotions, detergents, etc, taken only my usual medications, and eaten familiar foods. Now, I do suffer from pollen allergies, but the index has not been high at all, and this rash is very unlike what I experienced before. I've been to my doctor and she is flummoxed. All she can think of is to take some allergy medication and use hydrocortisone cream, and it rarely helps.

SOMETIMES YOUR SKIN CAN BE IRRITATED BY EXTERNAL CHANGES

IT DOES NOT REQUIRE A PRIOR OUTBREAK

I'M PRETTY SURE THAT IF YOU DON'T SCRATCH YOURSELF, EVERYTHING SHOULD BE LOOKING NORMAL

YOUR SKIN CONDITION SOUNDS MORE LIKE THESE TO ME:

    urticaria

    nettle-rash

    eczema

BUT AGAIN, YOU MIGHT BE PERFECTLY NORMAL, DON'T BE PARANOID OR OVERTHINKING, NEXT TIME, GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR WHEN YOU HAVE THE BUMP, OR EVEN SCRATCH IN HER OFFICE TO LET HER SEE.

BUT THE FACT TO THE MATTER IS, IF THE BUMP DISAPPEARS WITHIN MINUTES AND YOU'RE NOT EXPERIENCING ANY OTHER DISCOMFORTS, YOU SHOULD BE FINE.

PS: skin irratations could happen at any stage of your life, maybe you had a super hot shower, or exposed to some cold air, etc.

PSPS: David what an idiot you are, I cannot describe how stupid your answer is, ps; did you pass 4th grade? jesus

there is a lot of debris in the atmosphere that drifts from the asian continent during the summer. i get itchy spots. i also use a whole body lotion every time i shower. as you, i can,t see any connection other than dry skin possibly reacting to airborne contaminants. i,m extremely careful about detergent usage, rinse cycle, etc. cool and wet is better for me than dry and hot.
