Atheists: Why do you not believe in God?

The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!

Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.

They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!

Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!

Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.

Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

You could have just done a search. This question has been asked and answered hundreds, nay, thousands of times. But, to answer, they don't believe in a divine creator or divine intervention simply because there is nothing to support such a claim. They see it as more of a crutch for people than a foundation. Some of them believe in other things though, like reincarnation, which would not require a deity, deities, doctrine, or religious faith for them. Anyway, you can be spiritual inside and not believe in a god or gods.

Someone mentioned agnostics. True agnostics think that it doesn't matter whether there is a god or not. It's simply irrelevant. Have your god or don't have your god. They don't care.

I'll first answer that with a question ... why should I believe in a god?

Why should a god be sufficient to explain anything? There is just no evidence for a god or a creator, and indeed, there isn't even a reasonable theory for a god in order to test.

I think this quote is well suited to the subject. Not strictly true, but it gives the idea.

1- Lack of evidence

2-the fact that every religion thinks they have the 'right' God.

3-if there was a God, he would destroy us right now.

Because if there is a God, I don't believe in him. I heard of people diying from starvation, aids, rape, child slavery, natural disasters. etc. If there is a God, I don't want to believe in him. I chose not to believe in him because foreknowing people will end up in hell, he still create them to burn in hell why he choose those other people to live in heaven. He is prejudice to some. He is an f up if he exist, but since I don't believe in him, I just believe there are some f uped people instead.

Lack of any credible evidence as well as there is no need to believe in a God.

No evidence to support the assertion that any God (or gods) exists - therefore I am not convinced that any God is real.

i dont believe in any gods because there isnt any proof and also i dont see how we go on to other lives and those lives are according to how we lived in a past life because that sounds like something some one would make up

Mostly because of the monumental lack of adequate evidence suggesting that any such thing actually exists.
