Roast it in the oven. Here is a simple recipe. http://www.adashofsass.com/2011/01/18/perfect-roas... If you do not have all the seasonings they use, just use salt and pepper.

The first chicken I ever roasted personally was so easy. First you wash and thoroughly dry your chicken and then rub inside and out with salt and pepper. I pulled back the skin on the breast and rubbed on some dried rosemary (not very much). You don't have to do this step, but the rosemary gives the chicken great flavor.
While this was going on I was preheating my oven to 450 degrees with a large cast iron skillet in it that has been sprayed with no stick spray. The skillet will be hot. Remove the skillet from the oven and put the chicken, breast side down, in the pan and return to the oven. Do not cover. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for 2 hours. It will be falling apart tender.

Roasted
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Clean the bird inside and out and pat dry.
Set the giblets aside for later use
Season inside and out with sea salt and fresh ground pepper
Stuff the cavity with savories
1 medium onion coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic smashed and minced
3 jalapeno peppers seeded and minced
4 ribs celery coarsely chopped
2 carrots 1/4" slice
Toss all veggies with sea salt, fresh ground pepper and 1 tbsp premium olive oil before stuffing bird
Put the bird breast side up in a baking bag in a deep roasting pan. Make at least 6 1" slits in top of bag. Around bird place cubed onions, celery, potatoes, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, anything else you like.
Close bag and bake 10 - 12 minutes per pound.
Remove from oven.
Take care when you slit bag open not to burn your self with the steam.
Serve with a garden fresh tomato cucumber salad, steamed broccoli and either pasta or wild rice.
Top with fresh grated Parmesan Riaggiano and minced fresh Italian parsley.
Enjoy
