Reoccurring phlegm in chest and raspy voice?

So for months now ive been getting this. It starts off with just a bit of mucus then as the mucus starts to build up the coughing starts and then my voice becomes raspy. When i get this it stays for about a month then it goes away for like 2 weeks then comes back again... its really very annoying at times i sometimes get phlegm stuck in my airways at the begining when it comes making it hard to breath beacause so much phlegm gets into my airways. I first got this a while back, maybe a year and a half ago or a bit more and it just keeps coming back and i would like to know what might cause this. Im 20. I dont smoke and never even tried a cigarette or anything else, i rarely drink alchohol and as far as i know i have no allergies except lactose intolerance.i do get acid reflux quite often ( usually a couple times a week depending on my diet). I am also around people who smoke but do my best to leave the room and get away from the smoke when they are doing so because i hate it. Im not going to say im healthy otherwise because im not really. For ex im ALWAYS tired no matter the amount i sleep i get and i have trouble sleeping and im usually very irratible and have stomach issues alot. Im also usually very stressed ( not about health just about things in my life) id rather not go into a whole life story in such a short box so ill just stop there so if you have any questions otherwise bring them up here and ill be happy to answer them provided they are related to the post. Thanks

Could be related to the acid reflux if you have damage to your esophagus. Couldn't hurt to see a doctor if it's bothering you that much.

Stress can cause all manner of health issues.
