What anime made you cry?
Well to be honest I'm a tough guy not much touches my heart unless its really heartfelt. Anyways there are only a two anime that have made me cry. The first one I watched was Angel Beats episodes 10 and 13 the second one I watched was Clannad and Clannad after story. I don't remember the episode from season 1 but its the episode where Fuko's sister is getting married and she gives he sister a starfish. Then in Clannad Afterstory were from episode 16 to episode 20. I haven't stopped crying yet and I'm happy because It means I have a heart and I'm not a "macho man" about everything. Anyways if you know any other anime that made you cry or have any thoughts on what I just wrote please leave the anime title and the episode of you don't remember the episode then I don't really care but I'll check it out later. Also if you would like to discus anything I wrote please do so I really hope I can hear from other people who like this anime.
Sure will only question is, what episode of Naruto? Just so I know.
AngelBeats is depressing but enlightening at the same time. Its an action/drama I watched it when I was very depressed but after watching the series a whole new world appeared in front of me and I turned a new leaf. Clannad after stories is way sadder than Clannad but I like them both. The only thing in the world that can get me teary eyed just from listening to it is AngelBeats intro theme I guess its just because it touched my heart so much.

Angel Beats. I was constantly tearing up every episode. The graduation episode, and Otanashi's backstory episode, both had me basically bawlin'. Great show. That show is what made/makes me want to be an organ donor.
Ef - A Tale of Memories. I related a lot to Miyako, so her intense moments were particularly hard on me. Yuko moments were just sad because they were sad.

I teared up a bit while watching Angel Beats. It was a good anime, but I'm more of an action/comedy person, but Angel wasn't bad, but it was sad.
I cried at the end of Chrno Crusade. It only has 24 episodes and it is on manga.com. During the episodes, you become attached to the characters and you eventually get used to Rosette's annoying voice. (It will make your ears bleed at first, but keep watching and it will get good) At the end 3/4 main characters die. I didn't see it coming:(
D. Gray Man also was sad, especially when (SPOILER) Allen died. Also, a lot of the characters die and if you continue to read the manga after the 103 episodes, it is just sooooo depressing!

I don't think I've ever cried from an anime scene but there's been some sad ones. most of what I watch is psychological anime so it's bound to be sad. here's a few of the better ones that I remember.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex EP2
Evangelion 1.11 Angel of Thunder (A retelling of the original series)
Neon Genesis Evangelion EP16 (this one's not as sad without the knowledge of shinji's life)
Neon Genesis Evangelion EP18&19
Evangelion 2.22 Angel of Might Zeruel (a retelling of the original series)
Neon Genesis Evangelion EP 24
Neon Genesis Evangelion 25&26
End of Evangelion (A more action type ending to the series is considered to be the real ending while 25 and 26 are the inner workings of shinjis mind after it all ends.)
You might be disbelieving that nearly an entire series warrants being on here, well watch this.
all you need to know about this scene is that his friend is in the other 'mecha' and that they have to feel everything.

I cried during Clannad too. I haven't seen After Story yet, but I heard it's much sadder! I cried when Okazaki and Nagisa started crying after Fuko disappeared. So sad. I don't usually cry EVER, so I was kind of surprised.
I also cried during the last episode of Code Geass: R2. I didn't even realize I was crying because I was so pissed off too, haha.
Is Angel Beats good? A friend told me to watch it. What kind of genre is it?

Haha anime can sure bring out alot from a man :)
Yeah clannad made about 90% of the viewers cry hell I'm even confident enough to say 100%
Myself ;yourself
Kanon
ano Hana
True tears
Toradora
the familiar zero
Shakugan no Shana
Haha i can go on forever but yeah the romance genre sure has been growing over the past years or even if doesn't include romance things like k-on ending can be sad itself maybe not tear worthy but truly saddening.

Unfortunately haven't seen Clannad...but Angel Beats....man Angel Beats gets me misty every time I watch it. I was a blubbering mess during the graduation episode.
A recent show that came out last season called "Sakamichi no Apollon" or "Kids on The Slope" made me cry, mostly because I could relate to the main character's situation with his family (estranged mom, distant family etc.) And the sentimental, jazzy soundtrack just made it more tear-jerking (especially their version of "Lullaby of Birdland" by Aoi Teshima).
Also, there's Bounen no Xam'd (or Xam'd of the Lost Memory) which was made in cooperation with Studio Ghibli. I'd say of all series I've watched, it's simultaneously the most depressing and uplifting thing I've seen to date.
Hmmm, oh there's Ano Hana, an anime about a bunch of childhood friends who fall apart when one of their friends dies in an accident. Said girl comes back as a ghost and appears before one of them asking him to fulfill her wish.
to list the rest, Kemono no Souja Erin, Haibane Renmei, Fruits Basket. I'm sure there's more but I've already created a wall o' text as it is.
