Christians, What Was Apostle Paul's Definition Of The Ordinances Of The Law?
Does Paul define what the ordinances of the law are, which when kept are the fulfilling of the law?

Early "christianity" followed 2 paths. There were the Jews that followed the teachings of Jesus as a wise Rabbi adn teacher and who kept the Jewish law intact. Then there were the Gentile ("Greek") converts that Paul made on his missionary tours and who were not about to keep the Jewish laws on eating kosher and being circumcised. So Paul declared that Jesus had "fulfilled" the Jewish law and that it no longer applied to the new "christian" sect he was creating. Per Paul, all of the "fulfilling" of the law was done by Jesus, all the converts had to do was believe in Jesus and all that other stuff was irrelevant.

There are more laws than just the Ten Commandments the Torah which is the first five Books of the Pentateuch in the Old Testament make up the 613 Mosaic laws. The laws which have been fulfilled by Jesus are the laws which are the regulations for the Israelites being God's chosen people. Because a Christian become God's chosen people when they are baptized by water and Spirit so the laws which have these regulations for them to be God's people no longer apply to them because baptism is a circumcision of the Spirit. Now Christians who follow these regulations made for the Israelites are no longer Christians because they severed their ties with Jesus they are now considered as Jews.
Everything was made clean by Jesus, so the laws which dictate what is clean or unclean no longer pertain to Christians.

Holy Days ?
.Fill-up> Many years ago a man by the name of Herbert Armstrong said the apostle Paul was wrong about tithes , !?.. Not only was Paul correct, but also correct about all of the ordinances,, How about you!? Most are blinded to what Paul says in fact ! Should we listen to a man or an apostle of Christ !?
..Fill-up> To understand Paul’s writings; when he expresses “the law” we have to know “which law” he is referring too!? He often speaks of them as the Ten commandments of God , other times the ordinances of the Old testament and sometimes separate old testament law by themselves..
..Fill-up>If we do not cover those basses when we study we are afar off of the facts as to what he states ! When he speaks of the law” Do we really have Biblical comprehension, and context with words thereafter..? Personally , I do not think many have at all ! A good steward is what he is by clinging to the truths of God and the inspired words.. Well done good and faithful servant is for all of his people..
..Fill-up> Paul “pleads” that we come away from the old testament Mosaic laws including the past ordinances/holydays and except the truth revealed by him in this article..
..Fill-up>… When Christ took the ordinances to the cross the apostle Paul had the same dilemma, as the people wanted to stay the way things were.. They were completely caught up with the old testament ordinances and observed them obsessively almost like rituals; they could not get them out of their minds.. Should we observe Christ, or old testament ordinances ? We cannot keep the old covenant and new covenants ! Prove it !
..Prepare> ..This article is done with absolutes of affirmation that the apostle Paul says we must have, the study that makes is approved of God as he states. 2 Tm:2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, “rightly dividing” the word of truth. So please read slow and cover all of the facts ! Write them down! me? I'm crashing for finals as the say , I want to be in the Holy City here on the earth !
..Prepare>Many differing Jewish religions and others actually keep the Old Testament man made Holy Days/ordinances given to us by a strange study of what the people did under Moses.. “But Christ came along and removed them on the cross”!? Christ abolished them ! We do have ears to hear and read with correct comprehension ! Fear of God helps us, fear of men hinder us! Col 2:14 Blotting out the “handwriting of ordinances” (Mosaic) that was against us,( Wearisome and burdensome) which was “contrary to us”, and took it out of the way, “nailing it to his cross”; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, (opposition too) even the law of commandments=(Moses commands) contained “in ordinances”:; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Doing away with the traditional old testament laws/ordinances ..
...There were thirty of them listed including the tithe ordinance ! Heb 9:1Then verily the “first covenant” had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. Heb,9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them (in the Old testament laws/ordinances) WHEN? > “until the time of reformation”. Gal 4:4 But when the “fulness” of the time was come, (time of the new covenant ) God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the (Old testament) law, 5: To “redeem” them that were under *those old laws*,” that we might receive the adoption of sons. (All sons that are in Christ!) 6: And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son "into your hearts", crying, Abba, Father. (on the cross !) 7: Wherefore thou art no more a servant, (but a son); and if a son, (in Christ) then an heir of God through Christ. 8: Howbeit then? when ye knew not God, “ye did service unto them ( ordinances )which by nature are no gods.)
9: “But now,” (in the new covenant) after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and "beggarly elements", (old testament ordinances/laws) whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? ) Do we understand the apostle Paul? ( Check the context “But now” is clearly the new covenant era! ) Do the homework! ..
...When we search for Holy Days they are not listed in the bible but we can find them by what they actually were “ordinances” “Mosaic ordinances” to be more correct ! There were many days considered Holy, many labeled them “Holy days” But what is really found about them is quite another dilemma as the apostle Paul says they are not to be kept ! The apostle Paul makes mention with a question about them in Col: 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ (new sons living in Christ )from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to (Old Testament laws/Mosaic ordinances ? Paul says this about them also,, Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the “curse of the law/ordinances”, being made “a curse for us”: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: And he mentions the attributes about some of them,,
... Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ (Living in the new testament) from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances? 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; ) WE ARE NOT ! WE are no longer under the schoolmaster=(old testament ordinances) Old Mosaic laws! Gal 3:24 Wherefore the OT law “was” our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 “But after” that faith is come,(Christ) we are “no longer under a schoolmaster”=OT Laws/ordinances .26 For ye are all the children of God by “faith in Christ Jesus”. (only!).. THAT is our new course of action ! To reverse that or keep the old is to refuse the body of Christ ! That is part of the curse! We fail to observe Christ the way we are supposed too.. Of Course, our minds would be consumed by too many rites of the old laws/ordinances.. That is what happened to so many that were fooled into believing the errors of the OT ordinances still in effect.. How could they be abolished then ?
So in a nutshell as they say, Follow Christ completely and know He saved us from the rudiments of the OT laws/ordinances or as many put it “Holy Days” They are clearly abolished no matter what we label them! The writings of the apostle Paul are very conclusive in this matter ! Eugene Crawford
