Do you wish to know the Truth about God.....?

Amon Re, Zeus, YHWH, the Great Spirit, Odin, Universal Consciousness, are ALL the same God, it is man that has given deity so many names, faces and attributes. This is what causes division. There is only one Spirit and it is within us all. Whatever you call it, whatever you believe DOES NOT MATTER. All that matters is the Truth. And we won't know the Truth until we experience it. Until then, it is all speculation.

Update:

1. The universe is a beautiful, intricate, complex place, the foundations of which are a Mystery. The "whole truth" is too large, and our minds/knowledge/intuitions are too small to grasp it all. Therefore, we cherish and learn from diversity.

2. If the Universe can be said to have a purpose, its purpose is for us, not against us, and it is for, not against, us all.

3. Given how little we can know for sure, our focus should be on this earth and life; beauty, justice, love.

4. We claim the rational, eschew the irrational,(contrary to reason) and question the non-rational (that which is neither provable nor disprovable by reason alone, i.e. life after death).

Poetically, this might be stated, "We come from One origin, we are headed to One destiny, but we cannot know completely what these are, so we are to focus on making this life better for all of us, and we use reason when we can, to find our way. "

Update 2:

@clusium1.... Deuteronomy 10:17.....For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons.....

Psalm 136:2.......Give thanks to the God of gods, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Elohim acts as an ordinary plural of the word Eloah, and refers to the polytheistic notion of multiple gods (for example, Exodus 20:3, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me.").

Monotheistic belief is the WORSHIP of one God. Zeus, Odin, Re are all the God of Gods. The lesser Gods, or angels, or Elohim exist, but are not worshipped.

Angels announce the birth of Jesus to the shepherds (Luke 2:14), minister to Christ after his temptation in the desert (Matthew 4:11), comfort Jesus in his agony in the garden (Luke 22:43), and proclaim his resurrection from the dead (John 20:12) . Jesus Christ stated the angels of little ones continually behold the face of the Father (Matthew 18:10): this passage has been traditionally cit

Update 3:

@Well Travelled.....Just what you said, contradictory attributes, actions, commands, forms, wills etc... all given to one God by man. Same way as people on here see me is intelligent, naive, open minded, stupid, insane, sane, right, wrong. All a matter of human perspective....

There is just one small problem with that theory: Some religions, which worship the deities you mention, are polytheistic, while others are monotheistic. Monotheistic religions consider "all the other deities" to be fake. So, how can Zeus be the same a YHWH, when Zeus is "king of all other gods," when YHWH says "there are no other gods?"

I knew that already. But most people are too thick to comprehend this

Edit: it's obvious that most religions are just their own way of comprehending what is 'God'. Different cultures have different ways of explaining him. E.g. A religion in africa would give god black skin, because they can't comprehend an almighty god being born albino

I can't imagine how you can conclude that thousands of different claimed "god" things, with different and contradictory claimed attributes, actions, commands, forms, wills, etc. are "ALL the same god."

    That's just silly.

    Peace.

Unless you have any evidence for your claim which is not rectally extracted, i would suggest you to not operate heavy machinery for a while and to consult your local shrink asap.

Stay on roads which lead through reality, imaginary land can be a very dangerous place.

It makes more sense to me than organised religion, but I still don't believe in God, nor do I believe we have any special place in the universe or any inherent purpose.

Correct, except you forgot to mention that the entire concept of "god" was also created by man.
