The service column lock light is on my 2001 z06, I believe the recall has been done?

My battery was low from not driving, so when I jumped it the service column lock light came on. The steering wheel has never locked, so I think the recall has already been done. I have been able to drive it without the fuel pump shutting down. I just worry having the service light on. Any suggestions? Thank You!

Run over to any auto zone store and have them scan the computer to see what code / codes are present, write them down and then ask if they will erase the codes, if not as long as the battery is fully recharged then go back home and disconnect it for 20 minutes and then reconnect it to see if the codes come and if so then you will have to take it in for the needed repairs.

If you are unsure if the recall was done you can call the GM customer service department and give them the VIN on this vehicle and they will check if there are any outstanding recalls..
