Are there really people out there who go by knowledge and evidence instead of faith?

Oh my goodness that is so horrible! What moron would ever do such a thing?

Troll meter - 5/10. You almost gave it completely away with those last two sentences. The amazing thing to me is that some people thought you were serious.

Everyone is entitled to believe what ever they want without being judged or critized...

Just because you dont belive with their religious beliefs does not mean they are horrible people.

What kind of moron could ever think like that ???

I HATE how society now a days cannot just except people they way they are!

That is an even more horrible thing than not having faith!

Source(s): I am one of those people, not because i dont have faith entirely but because tooo many times i have been screwed over after all i had left was faith....

There are people who try to go by what they consider to be knowledge and evidence, but since there is no real knowledge of God not existing and no evidence He doesn't exist, even they rely on faith of their convictions like believers in God do. Good day.

Sure are, and the humble ones admit that there are some things that just can't be explained. The prideful ones say there has to be a reasonable and explainable answer to everything and so they dream up answers that can't be proved but give them anyway. Many of which even the scientists deny to be provable or even logical. At some point even the honest scientists admit we can't explain everything

It`s called `The First World` maybe you`ve heard of it?

@ dload - Have you ever actually read the source material that you list. None of it refers to a historical Jesus at all. The references are to Christians and their cult practices.

There is nothing in the historical record to suggest that Jesus ever existed.

Read it yourself and you will see that.

I realize your question is cynical.

However, I attended a Buddhist group once where the sensei defined "faith" as "not blind faith", but as "belief based on understanding". I liked his definition, so I'm sharing it here.

I know right! I don't know why people would believe in something that has solid evidence from thousands of studies by people far smarter than you and me when we can just believe that a magic guy in the sky who had a fit over some apples just decided to create an entire universe just for us! People these days...
