Sleeping problems, sleeping pills ?

Hi I have been having sleeping problems lately. There is something big for me coming up and I do want some good sleep, I usually sleep at 11 before but after those days where I had to stay up for work until 2 or 3 am.i couldn't sleep earlier and I really like sleeping early. Even now I couldn't sleep at 2 or 3 it's really frustrating. I'm thinking of sleeping pills. Would it be fine if I take a sleeping pill at 10 and have a 1 hour time for the sleeping pill to work. Would this make me sleep earlier .So the sleeping pill will start working and get me to sleep at 11. Will this make me sleep ? Cuz I usually sleep at 3 and it takes half a hour to get into sleep. Please will it work? Please answer the question and not talk trash ! Please thank you all for the answers!

Sleeping pills can work, although some are addictive and once you stop the insomnia is awful. Benedryl (diphenhydramine) or melatonin work well as sleeping pills, and flexeril is my preferred medication for inducing sleep.

You should probably talk to your doc before starting any kind of pills but melatonin is relatively safe and works for me, usually start to feel effects from it in 15-20 minutes.
