Do you drive like this?
or know people who regularly do ?
This afternoon we were followed very closely by a young woman driving her car with her head on one side trying to keep her mobile phone under one ear & one hand fully occupied with a large ice lolly.
There were 2 children with her & she had very little control of her car.I was watching her in the passenger side wing mirror all the time & when a Police car came along we hoped she was stopped & at least cautioned.
Catching these drivers is a huge problem which is probably why so many do it.They just reckon they have little chance of getting caught & fined & also have no concept of causing an accident by their actions
The idea of blocking mobiles except to emergency calls is a good one

Every time I see a car being driven erratically, the driver has a cell phone stuck in their ear. These drivers are most likely to run stop signs or red lights. When I see them, I'm very, very careful until they're out of my sight. Most states have open container laws to help control drunk drivers. I think the same should apply to the use of an active cell phone in a car, whether it's being held or not. It's a distraction. (Let the TD's roll)

There are far too many cell phone drivers and texters here where I live...a woman who worked with my husband was killed instantly when she dropped her cell phone while driving and reached to pick it up. Not brilliant on her part. It's not like the car has EYES....I just don't get what goes through these people's minds. She was 38, and had 3 small children...sad.

Here in the Sunshine State, I count at least half the drivers talking on their phones.
Soon, the auto manufacturers will come out with a signal blocking device that only allows 911 calls. Can't wait!..

I certainly do not!!... and the UK government are soon going to double the fine and the points on the licence of anyone caught using a mobile(cell) phone while driving.

I don't know people who do that but it's very scarey. Everytime I leave the house lately it's an adventure and not a good one.

No. There are plenty of moronic drivers who do though, sadly. A driving licence is a licence to kill
