Should the GOP change their name to the Conservative party?

    No, they are not conservative, How can you be against big government and the government intruding in our everyday lives, but you want to ban abortions and gay marriage.

    Some states have Conservative parties and those wouldn't be happy with Repubs trying to take their name. The currently-Republican party would end up with multiple names depending on the state, which would be confusing.

    4 state Conservative parties are listed on Wikipedia. The Repub party is in a unilateralist phase right now, so they wouldn't care that many other countries have parties by that name.

    A lot of the GOP are RINOs but it does seem like people are voting in more conservatives candidates for congress and senate.
