Isn't it funny how the one obvious politically motivated mass shooting AGAINST a conservative group..?

it is fun to watch liberal news outlets wordsmith their scant reports of this violence to omit information about who the shooter was and why he was doing it.

What's bizarre is that this is the first politically-motivated shooting that has ever been inflicted on the right by the left that I know of. As a liberal, I've never had to confront this situation before.

I have to say, though, that keeping tallies of whose murderous psychos were more successful is pretty low. I think we can all agree that what happened was inexcusable and idiotic. As a supporter of gay rights, this one idiot has probably set gay equality back by a full decade at least. But, just as with any other shooting, straw men will be put up like crazy. The shooter won't own all the blame; the gay community will take heat, the Democrats will get blame, and of course gun rights will come under scrutiny.

While I have sympathy and admiration for the guard who stopped the shooter after being wounded, I recognize that his wounds will heal. The negative effects that events like this have on our nation will leave permanent scars on our rights.

What about the other obvious politically motivated mass shooting where a member of the Tea Party shot up a Sikh temple because he thought they were Muslims? It was a tragedy, but I couldn't help but laugh... The same ignorance that made him decide to kill Muslims made him pick the wrong group of people even though the building was clearly labelled. He just saw brown people with towels on their heads and opened fire. 'Merica!

Glad you can take such pleasure at the security guard getting shot. You are a wonderful human being.

So are you saying only conservatives can pull off a succesful mass shooting? Hmmm, that's food for thought.

Edit: Ah, so you are saying that Jared Loughner, James Holmes, and Wade Page, although not conservative, are also not liberal since they succeeded with mass shootings.

Just as it is odd that there wasn't the usual outcry on this forum regarding guns. I guess it really is rules for them and more rules for the rest of us. I'm just glad that the security guard stopped this lunatic from causing mayhem.
